Nicely polished Mastodon client
Home timeline sync. Need I say more? Ok, I will. Smooth scrolling, easy swipe gestures, dark, light, and auto modes. Very clear post/toot layout.
It works
I have tried all Mastodon Apps that are available in the store for iPhone and that one is worth trying. Simple, but not too simple like others and I can switch between the timelines (that’s important for me).
A wonderful Mastodon client… with cross-device syncing!
This is the only Mastodon app I’ve found (and I’ve tried many!) that allows me reliably to sync my “read” position in the timeline across multiple devices. I regard that syncing ability as an absolutely essential feature of any Mastodon app. Mastoot also has nice interface design.
Elegant and Beautiful
It’s just a no fuss good Mastodon client.
The best Mastodon app
If your phone came with a Mastodon app, it’d be Mastoot. It’s incredibly polished, supports the latest Mastodon features like editing tweets, and it’s fast and rock solid. It’s missing a couple of small things (like showing a list of your server’s emoji when composing a post), but it’s regularly updated and the sheer care the author puts into it shines through. I only wish I could pay for it!

Great third-party experience!
If you find the first-party Mastodon app lacking and confusing like I did, Mastoot is the answer. It offers the most Twitter-like repackaging of Mastodon of all the third-party apps I’ve tested, and the performance is buttery smooth and snappy. Great job, Mastoot team!
Who knows?
Might be great but it won’t let me login to my account.
Like so much mastodon stuff, it could be duff.

Perfectly designed app
So, I’m new to Mastodon. Which means learning where everything is and how it all works is current task being undertaken. This app has made it extremely straightforward, everything is where it ‘should’ be. It’s super lightweight, visually pleasing, and so far I’ve not found a single bug.
Well done developer/s, you have done a fantastic job 👏

Just Fantastic
As far as I know, I have used all of the Mastodon apps, and I certainly want to support them all. But as my daily go-to app, Mastoot has clearly won me over. Immediately apparent is the very smooth and fluid scrolling. Downloading posts and images while scrolling is awesome. On the Home feed, a small notification will appear to let me know how many unread posts there are left. Notifications are supported within iOS. Terminology is consistent with the Mastodon desktop. Supports search by hashtag. And each week seems to include a new update.
There are two times that one seems to leave the app … when I edit my profile (opens a browser window), and when I click on a #hashtag in a person’s profile. (which “should” open the in-app search window but instead goes to the Mastodon web app login).
The developer is clearly invested to make this the best app out there, and it shows. Nice work.

this is the one!!!
mastoot is awesome, esp if you’re coming from twitter. it is a much more polished, enjoyable experience.
pro tip: if you have an ipad mini, to log in you need to be in portrait view because there is a pop up you won’t see otherwise (the keyboard will hide it). i had trouble and emailed the dev, who was very quick to respond with a video showing me how to get in. also a very friendly guy.
i’ve tried several others and this is the inky one i actually like. in fact, i love it! and it’s the cutest icon too. 💕
