Doesn’t work
The first time I used the app, it registered my body fat level at 20%. I had my personal trainer measure my body fat the same day and his machine calculated my body fat level at 16%. After a lot of work in the gym, my body fat is down to 11% but the app not says it’s 22%. Perhaps the app doesn’t work for muscular people?
Interesting idea

Thanks for the feedback. The ones at gyms are a different tech called bio-impedance. BVI is based on MRI data which measures all the different smaller body fat elements - that is why the results may be higher. This is really helpful and shows why we need to declare this more - there is a major update coming and we will make sure better explanation of 'how' is included in there.
Bad. Not worth your money

Hi Ryan, really sorry you've had trouble with the app. Our team of UI designers found that the current scanning process was the most effective and the simplest way of capturing your results, but we always welcome any feedback we can use to improve the experience. We do find that watching the user videos can really help with your experience of the app - these can be found in the app menu. Sometimes users compare results to bio-impedance to gauge accuracy, leading to a difference in results, which is what you may have experienced. We can assure you that BVI will give you the correct accurate result. Our extensive clinical research and validation has proven that BVI will provide a significantly more reliable and accurate result than bio-impedance. BVI accuracy has been validated by numerous external sources against gold standard scanning such as DEXA and MRI, so if you would like to see our validation evidence please email info@select-research.com and we would be happy to share this with you.
