To help you on your journey, we've added some brand-new lessons that are sure to boost your Chinese skills. New HSK 1 Lessons: • How to translate from or to Chinese – Crack the code of translating between Chinese and your native language. • What is a Chinese character? – Unravel the mystery behind those beautiful, complex symbols! • Word formation in Chinese – Discover how Chinese words come together like puzzle pieces. • Word Categories in Chinese – Nouns, verbs, adjectives—learn how Chinese organizes words! • Placement of Tones in Pinyin – Get the tone right every time, because one wrong tone can turn a compliment into an insult! • Nouns – Start with the basics by mastering the names of things around you. New HSK 4 Lessons: • Conjunction 于是 [yúshì] – Perfect for telling a story in Chinese with smooth transitions. • 得 [de] used as [dei] to mean “to have to” – A small word with big meaning: master it for clarity and confidence! • Expressing “even…” with 连…都 [lián…dōu] – Take your sentences to the next level with this powerful structure. Sound & Translation Fixes Galore: • We've been fine-tuning our app to make sure you're getting the best experience possible. • Some sentence pronunciations needed a little TLC – they're now clearer and smoother. • Refined and improved translations for German, Russian, and French, because every word counts! • Re-recorded and fixed several HSK 6 word audios. This update focuses on bug fixes and numerous improvements to enhance your experience. Here's what's new: - Significant improvements in story audio playback: The audio playback lifecycle is now better managed. If you exit the app or switch to the dictionary to look up a word, the audio will continue playing when you return, both in the detail view and within games. - Flashcards bug fix: We've resolved an occasional issue that occurred in Flashcards games. - Notification bug fixes: Several bugs causing notifications to display progress information incorrectly have been fixed. - Minor aesthetic enhancements: Various small visual improvements have been made for a smoother user experience. • Lesson Search Feature: We have added a new lesson search feature! Now, you can easily find any lesson you want from any HSK level directly from the lesson list. • iPad Screen Layout Improvements: We have made several enhancements to the screen layouts for iPad. We continue to improve the user experience on larger screens. • Dictionary Search Enhancement: The dictionary search functionality has been improved for smoother and more efficient searches. • Bug Fixes & Improvements: Fixed several minor bugs that could cause issues when launching certain games from push notifications. Resolved a bug in the Flashcards list that occasionally displayed the wrong flashcard as unlocked. Corrected and enhanced the conversion of tones to numbered tones in sentences. We have also added text to the 'pinyin' settings button to make it clearer when the 'no tones' mode is selected. Finally, added some minor aesthetic adjustments, updating screen layouts to a more pleasant and modern design. • Monthly Content Review: As every month, we have reviewed all the reports you have sent us. Thanks to your feedback, we have made many relevant corrections in the app's content and translations.

• Adjustable Writing Strokes Difficulty: In the last update, we adjusted the stroke corrector during writing to be less tolerant, but we received feedback that it was too difficult to complete some words. Therefore, we have included an option to practice writing with different difficulty levels so that each user can adjust the tolerance. The setting is in the app configuration under 'Game Settings', option 'Writing Strokes Difficulty'. The default difficulty is 'Normal', but now you can select two higher difficulty values and two lower difficulty values. • Stroke Animation on Completion Setting: We have added another new option in the app configuration: 'stroke animation on completion'. This new setting allows you to enable or disable the automatic playback of stroke animations upon completing a character in the 'Stroke count' game. The default value is 'off', and we believe this makes the game faster and more dynamic. The stroke animation will still play when completing the word, but this animation can be skipped by pressing the 'next' button. • Dark Mode Punctuation Color Fix: We have fixed the color used for displaying punctuation marks in sentences within the 'Sentences' section when dark mode is enabled. This ensures that punctuation marks are now correctly displayed in white.

• New Lesson Added: We have introduced a new lesson in the HSK 2 level - \"Characters with Multiple Pronunciations\". Dive in and explore and master these characters! • Removal of Full-Screen Ads in Games: We've removed all full-screen ads from within the games to enhance your gaming experience. Please note that reward ads are still available for free users. • Hanzi Writing Correction: We've adjusted the hanzi writing correctness criteria to be slightly less lenient, ensuring that strokes need to be more accurate and closely match the expected writing style. • Dictionary Fix: We've resolved an issue where the correct example sentences for a word were not opening from the dictionary. This should now work seamlessly. • Audio Playback Fix for Levels 7-8-9: Fixed an issue affecting the Text-to-Speech (TTS) audio playback for words in levels 7-8-9. You can now hear the correct pronunciations without any interruptions. • UI Improvements for Arabic Language: Our team has made several UI corrections and enhancements for users utilizing the app in Arabic. Enjoy a smoother and more intuitive experience. • Translation Improvements: Numerous translation corrections and improvements have been made across the app. Thank you to everyone who submitted reports and feedback!
