No-nonsense get-the-job-done app

Just make sure you know how to get the IP, MAC, and port number info. before you get started. I don't use it outside my home network so I can't say how well it works on that front.

It works

simple and works

Works great

I'm no network guru and somehow managed to configure this. I'm able to wake up my Macbook Air M2 from my iMac desktop with no issues. Works fast too!

Doesn't wake Synology NAS reliably

I find it doesn't wake my synology NAS. I have same settings as on an iPhone app (works 100% of the time).

Laptop running Swol is on same LAN as the NAS.

Works well

I needed an app to send a "magic packet" to wake up my PC from inside my LAN or externally when away from home. I'm not sure why Microsoft Remote Desktop doesn't do this automatically. So far this has worked without any trouble.

Clean and Simple

Does exactly what it says on the tin with a clean, native looking interface. Very handy to have when dealing with numerous clients.
Just a couple things keeping me at 4 stars. Would've loved to see the shortcuts integration be a device drop-down not a text box and allowing the user to re-order their devices in the menu would be great also.

Hii, thanks for pointing that out! When I first started this app it was my first experience with Siri. I’m currently working on a redesign of it and will try to do more research and include this, it would be great! If you have more suggestions or feedbacks you can reach me at pedrogfarina@gmail.com

Latest Update Broke It

Was working great. Latest update stopped it from working. Had to change the broadcast IP manually back to x.x.x.255 to get it to work again. Hopefully they will get it working again… 😔

Hi Ctny :) I used to send the packet into the .255 IP automatically, to make it easier for new users. But was required to change it because some advanced users had a custom broadcast IP configured and replacing with .255 would not let them configure it. This is a temporary fix while I’m working on a new version with new design there will be an option to let on .255 automatically or to customize the broadcast IP, making it better for everyone. Thanks for the feedback and letting me know about it :D, I’ll surely work on it to bring you a better experience. I’ll edit this reply when launched to let you know. If you have any more suggestions about the app don’t hesitate to contact me at: pedrogfarina@gmail.com.

iCloud synchronisation needs work

Apart from that it works flawlessly with Siri which is exactly what I needed!

Thank you for your feedback! I agree with ya hahaha, if you wouldn’t mind be more specific about it I’d happily hear about how to improve the app :) E-mail me at: pedrogfarina@gmail.com

This is so clean!

This is awesome! By far the cleanest (imo) compared to the other apps. I’m building all the PCs in my house to be rack mounted in the basement. I’m going to have my family use this app to turn on their computers.

Rather than having to type the MAC address and ip over and over for each person it’d be soooooo cool if there was a way to export computers in the app. Would be so handy. It doesn’t have to be complicated, any exporting method would be well appreciated
