Good luck deciphering the weather
There is too much “noise” on the weather page. I have yet to figure this new app out. Occasionally I happen across the right combination of clicks to find the blog so I can see what’s in store for the area but I can never intentionally repeat the action. It might look pretty with all of the color but it’s so far from user friendly that I’m almost done. Simplify it, please!!!Show lessLEI81
Liked the setup of the old app better
I was on the old WTHR app multiple times a day, but the new version seems much less user friendly and hard to find stories. The old app made it simple to click between local, national, entertainment, etc.LWTaylor
Kills Battery Life
I installed the new app a few weeks ago. Lately, my iPhone battery has been drained very quickly on an eleven month old phone. Looking at the battery usage in settings, I noticed WTHR app was the culprit: only fifteen minutes of screen time, and 5 hours and 47 minutes of background app refresh.
On top of that, the constant jumping and reloading of stories that plagued the old app continue with this one. Seems like advertisements constantly refresh and cause the feed to reload. Hard to tell what is a legitimate WTHR news story and what is inserted-ad clickbait.Show lessjasjas34
New app not as good as old app
My wife and I used to use the old WTHR app for local and national news along with weather and traffic. The new app version is not as good. Seems to be harder to find stories and distinguish between national and local news. But the big loss is traffic. We used the old app traffic map to look for congested traffic all over the country when traveling now it’s just Waze. Bummer.Show lessB. Lock
Too bad
New app is all show and no content. Looks good but takes constant scrolling to fight back all the ads and junk that has been inserted. Not sure who or what wrote the 5 star reviews but they or it obviously doesn't have a good comparison between the old and new. Miss the old traffic map. Things need to change or I won’t be back.....really sorry to say. Been a loyal follower for several years.Show lessSW401

Not as user friendly as previous app. A little more difficult to navigate but still the same up to date info..dawgfather62
If its not broken don’t fix it
Not sure why they would spend money and waste time making a new app that is mostly useless in comparison to the older version. The only problem I ever had with the older version was losing my place in the articles from the app automatically refreshing. Should have fixed that and left everything else alone.Show lesswhatsherfayce
Terrible “Upgrade”
There are far too many ads in the new version of the app. News stories are not organized in any fashion. I have yet to figure out what the little icons on the traffic app mean and there is no explanation that I have been able to find. This had been my go to app fir quite a while , but I have deleted it and will be using a different app.Show lessComcast user999
Horrible mobile site
Navigation is not intuitive. Weather is hard to find what you are looking for. Each redesign has resulted in worse user experience. If you are field testing with real users, you are asking the wrong people.Qbcubman
New WTHR app is terrible
I have used the old WTHR app for years and loved it. I hate the new one and will be deleting it. It has far less content. The weather section is minimal and useless now. Where are all the topic areas too? I can’t find local or traffic tabs like the old one. We were traveling on 465 yesterday and came to stopped traffic. My husband was driving f and I got on the app to see what the traffic was due to. Nothing, didn’t see a single thing. Had to go to a different news channel to find any information.
