The upgrade is required to resolve a bug that has been identified. The bug occurs when a user has registered on the app but does not fully complete the verification of their data before they log off. When the user then attempts to log back into the app they are frozen on the dashboard screen and are unable to access their data. The fix allows the user to log back into the app and access their data so they can complete their verification.

Reviews of mypensionID

  • Crashes on taking back of licence

I have no idea how good or bad this app is as the second time it accesses the camera, for the back of the license card, it unceremoniously crashes. Every time.

This isn’t the only ID app that has similar reviews, but that’s hardly helpful.
  • Excellent app, easy to use.

Unlike earlier reviews that didn’t like this app, I found it to be great. It made the process easy and it all worked flawlessly (even taking the selfie).
  • Facial recognition is still an issue.

I had no problem setting up the app but when i went back to look at my profile, it was very difficult to satisfy the facial recognition requirements. I eventually got a pass but it seemed to be very unhappy about the distance from the camera i was.

Despite the issues, I much prefer using the app to the hoops I normally have to jump through to prove to my pension company that I am still alive and kicking.
