DESCRIPTION It's 5:30am and you're heading to set. Your inbox dings with freshly distributed triple golden-rod pages. This app will read them to you while you drive in. FEATURES OneExteriorDay will read a screenplay to you using two distinct voices, one for dialogue and one for stage directions. It intelligently scans the screenplay and interprets formatting and industry lingo so it is easily understood by the listener. Simply import a pdf screenplay from an email attachment and hit Speak. No other setup is required. This app was designed to provide a secure option which only uses the native voices installed on your iOS so that no part of the screenplay is transmitted from your device to cloud services. If you have signed an NDA for your production you can rest assured that you will not be violating your agreement by using this app using the built-in voice engine. Additional voices can be downloaded in your iPhone settings under General > Accessibility > Speech > Voices. You also have the option to use the power of cloud A.I. computing from Amazon and Google to improve voice quality. This method will send your script one page at a time to be translated. A tv/filmmaker’s dream!
This is a fantastic app. If you’re late, you don’t have to decide between getting scripts read and sitting in traffic. And during this summer of COVID I’ve been able to sit out in the sun and without dealing with the glare of a computer screen. Love it.
