Description of Fade In Mobile Basic

Fade In Mobile is a companion app for Fade In Professional Screenwriting Software for working with Fade In (.fadein) files. It is specifically designed to work with the unique interface and capabilities of your mobile device. It takes care of proper script formatting, including standard script styles, and provides tools for quickly selecting character and location names, and for efficiently navigating your script. This basic version of the app is intended to give you an idea of what working with the full version is like. Create scripts on your device, export them to your iCloud/Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive account, and import scripts as read-only. Upgrade to the full, paid version of Fade In Mobile to import your work from the full or demo desktop version of Fade In Professional Screenwriting Software (including imported PDF and Final Draft scripts). When upgrading to the full version, first export your work to your iCloud/Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive account, or to your device. Note that this free version allows read-only import. Follow @fadeinsoftware on Twitter for updates. Like using Fade In Mobile? Please think about rating it here on the App Store. Thank you!

Reviews of Fade In Mobile Basic

  • Doesn't work

I'm on Iphone 14 plus. I tried to type, it doesn't do anything. If you try to change the settings it freezes the app. The only time it works is if I edit the template screenplay. Even then, the shortcuts like Scene heading, Dialogue etc don't work and/or automatically change like it does on a desktop. I can't understand how this app even passed qc (assuming there's even a qc) before putting on the platform?
  • Perfect

Great for writing screenplays for theatre and cinema. No complaints!
  • Deletes work

I really enjoy the desktop version and was excited using the mobile version for on the go. However, after using it for some days the app will crash and delete majority of my work. Then there’s the interface that starts to warp itself when you have a long script. In addition to using it with a wireless mechanical keyboard, it doesn’t allow you to use some shortcuts like deleting all whole word. Really wish they would update the app and make it more easier to toggle through the action, scene, transition, etc instead of having to press it with your fingers.
