Reviews of Sibelius

Not enough features; awkward to use; poor imitation of the real thing

I use Sibelius every single day for work and was so excited to have an iPad version. Unfortunately, It disappoints in so many ways. It is incredibly clunky and unintuitive. Note input is incredibly tiresome, editing is a hassle. At every step it gets in the way of being creative. I’m using a top of the line iPad with Magic Keyboard and it just doesn’t work very well – why can’t I drag and make selections without having to physically press down on the trackpad? Why do none of the shortcuts from MacOS work? I have no idea why they didn’t just implement MACOS as this iPad version is terrible.

Finicky

Note input is very awkward and finicky. I can easily think of a way note input could be achieved that would be better than this! There is no way to manually save, so if the app crashes you will lose all your progress! And the app did crash, after I tried to use the Cut gesture!!
