Need an update. The topics for me is not working.

Not Useful / Far Inferior to Similar Apps - Borderline scheme for Dev to make quick $$

I've found this app to be essentially of zero use. There are ~100 free applications that provide superior content, UI/UX, and functionality. To be honest, given the marketing and tech site PR tour they've been I'm close to flagging it for abuse instead -- It's that useless, low quality, irrelevant, and $$$ that I don't see how this could have been done with good intentions.

Less than Basic!

It looks pretty! That is about the only good thing about this app!
The "new" podcast feature, isn't a feature at all so don't even waste your time! Maybe in future versions it will be but this is less than basic! There are way better apps out there!
If "personalized" means chosing a couple of basic topics for your news feed then this may work for you but that is about all you can do! Total waste of $5!

Hey! Sorry you feel this way. As a first version, it’s hard to implement a lot of features. View is primarily a news-first, podcast-secondary app but because of a lot of feedback, I can confirm that I am working on bringing podcasts up to date by adding features like playlists, queues, saving podcast location, OPML import, and more in the next big version 4.1. This version will also bring improvement to the recommendation system so it’s not just selecting an interest. Thanks for your feedback 😁

Cool!

I think Views has a very cool take on news. I like the use of haptics, and it’s UI. I also like how you can shorten news stories for an easier reading experience. Plus, the ability to listen to podcasts is really cool! I’ve never seen that in a news app.

Very problematic

How do you download podcasts as there is no clear route, and why doesn't it 'sync' between devices with a memory of what you're listening? And no syncing preferences within account information. I'm not sure I'm understanding the intent of the programming, and hopefully someone can enlighten me!

Hi DrPsych, Downloading podcasts is very simple. It’s standard iOS and macOS behavior. Simply, swipe left on an episode to open the download menu. This does bring up a good point as I will start to develop a FAQ that can be accessed through the app to help users with similar queries. Thanks! 😄 While there is no podcast syncing and time mark saving as of now, I can confirm that I am actively developing this feature and more podcast-related features will be available in the next major version i.e. Version 4.1. Stay tuned (pun not intended) for this! The reason that Views is more feature-rich in its news section is because this app is primarily a news-first, podcast-second application. However, based on responses, I am working on bringing up the podcast player up to speed and I am adding a ton of new features for the next version! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! - Sai
