Great App for Meeting Like-Minded Christian Singles

This app is so great for meeting other single Christian disciples whose aims are to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. I like that the developers took time to create a vetting process in which we have to answer questions about our faith and doctrine truthfully. It helps me feel secure that other Christians on the platform will go through the same process and express their faith similarly to mine. This way, we know we’re meeting equally-yoked singles :)!

I found an amazing partner on this app, we’ve been dating 1.5 years now, and we are learning so much about each other and Gods calling and hand in our respective lives. I know she also appreciated this app very much. She has expressed she felt safe getting to know me using the chat feature because she knew I was a disciple with a similar heart to follow Jesus. We’ve even recommended the app to other couples - some who have gotten married already!

Cheers to PureMatch and the PureMatch Team! 🥂

Met my husband through this app

Looked through some of these reviews and while there are some technical issues, I HIGHLY recommend. I know the developers are working on sorting out these technical issues. I started talking to my fiancé in November of 2021 and we are getting married October 22, 2013! I am SO grateful for this app and that it allowed me to meet him. (For reference I live in Virginia and he lived in California when we met- he moved to Virginia about 6 months ago) so my location parameters were not restrictive.

Terrible app

I gave this rating a 1, but if I had a option of giving it a 0 I would have. Before even allowing anyone to proceed to the app, the creators of the app require you to answer 5 questions. The one question confused me and I ended up getting it wrong. The lame app wouldnt allow me to proceed farther, it said that because I chose the wrong answer I cant be part of the community and that if I find this an error, to email about it. So I send a email. The creator of the app basically explained the question and what the answer should have been, and then I respectfully answered back and said that I believe that answer to be true. Whoever replied to my email still proceeded to tell me that this wasnt enough and that if I want to join, that I need to accept theology discussion. Like what the heck??? Talk about religious nuts, this is what they are. I imagine that those who sign up for this app are all religious nut fanatics. This isnt about theology, religion. It about relationship with the Lord! I have never been turned down for something like this! Thats pretty offensive and rude. I highly reccomned to not download this app! Unless meeting religious nuts is your thing.

Response from developer

Katya we're sorry this was your experience, however, the reason this app exists is simply to unite those with similar biblical convictions, some of which you did not share; we wouldn't call the thousands of users we have on the app "religious nuts" because they share similar biblical convictions that are different from yours, and this is quite rude and out of line. There are many other "general" Christian apps out there and we suggest you try those if Pure Match is not for you, however, we will choose not to water down the basic biblical convictions for the sake of good reviews and numbers. No religious nuts here. Simply Christians. God bless and best of luck.

Needs to go offline for major fixes

The concept of the app is good. However, it just doesn’t work. The main feature—matching—isn’t working. I’ve gotten off and come back to this app for over a year and the user experience becomes even more frustrating because it’s more of the same—limited matches despite open parameters (have no bounds on my distance AND basically chose all ethnicities), matches don’t refresh (see the same five faces that I haven’t unmatched with, concerned that if I unmatched all of them, I’ll get no new matches). There is a sort of Facebook-wall style feature—I wonder if that’s necessary right now if the main reason people are joining (to meet other Christian singles) isn’t working. I’d suggest for the developers to focus on debugging the main feature before incorporating features that folks have access to via other apps (i.e Facebook, Instagram, etc).

Buggy

Need to have a spot in the app to report bugs. It’s pretty bad… I can help y’all iron out the bugs, but you gotta provide people a way to report the bugs. People wanna use the app, but it’s really hard to use.

Won’t send me confirmation code

Won’t even send me a confirmation code so I can’t even sign up

Too many features are non-functional

The most important feature, matching hasn’t worked in months in my experience. I’ve maximized all of my matching parameters, yet no one shows up. Please fix!! The idea of this app is amazing. If only it worked.

Frustrating

The idea of this app seems pretty cool, but every time I get on it, the app crashes with the first 90 seconds. I get notifications about people messaging me or matching with me & and I can’t even respond because it crashes. Very frustrating. Even more frustrating is that I’m paying for it! Can you make this right??
