Changes in this version: - New: The goal of the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Puzzles is now to pick up as many points as possible, adding an additional strategic layer to the puzzle. This solves the leaderboard issue introduced by the last update. - Fixed: Some players reported impossible Numbered Puzzles with the Foreign Language variation. Those puzzles should now generate valid puzzles. - Fixed: Challenges list should correctly display a text telling you 'there are no more challenges' for players who completed all challenges in an earlier version of the game. - Fixed: Various minor interface issues were resolved. Changes in this version: - New: Numbered Puzzles, a sequence of 500 puzzles that are the same for everyone (depending on the puzzle language). - New: Redesigned all challenges. Puzzles initially alternate between Tangle Mode and Precise Mode puzzles, and early challenges are slightly less lengthy than before. - New: Challenge progress popups now remind you of the challenge when you start a puzzle, and show you that you're doing great when you're doing great while you're playing. - New: Polish and Swedish puzzle languages can now be selected from the settings, or will show up in puzzles with the Foreign Language variation. - New: The tutorial now has an extra step emphasizing the importance of picking up Plus Tiles in Tangle Mode puzzles. You'll get stuck if you don't! - New: Support for the new Apple TV Remote. - Improved: All menus have been redesigned. The play options are clearer, the panels are prettier, and the interface is now better positioned on landscape devices. - Improved: Daily, Weekly, and Monthly puzzles are all a bit smaller now. We especially would like the Daily mode to be small enough so it can be finished within 20 minutes. This does have the weird effect that many leaderboard entries will be the same, but we have plans to fix that in a future update… - Improved: You can now unlock the Weekly and Monthly puzzles by doing well in the Daily and Weekly puzzles respectively, regardless of your progress through the challenges. - Improved: We significantly reduced the size of the game. More space for videos of your cat on your device! - Improved: The pause menu now shows things relevant to the puzzle you're playing, not just… everything. - Improved: We redesigned the game demo that plays in the background of the menus to be prettier. - Improved: Tangle Mode puzzle generation was improved to make puzzles that are even more fun. - Improved: We improved the wording of some parts of the tutorial. - Improved: We added a reminder that you can sign in to Game Center through the Settings app when you're signed out. - Fixed: We dealt with a bunch of very random crashes. - Fixed: The game now catches more iCloud sync timeouts and shows you a less scary popup. - Fixed: Instead of being stuck at 99%, the 6 Monthly Puzzles achievement should now correctly be achieved when you would expect. Changes in this version: - For some players, the word list was scrolling to the top all the time. This update fixes that! - For some players, the 'Synchronizing with iCloud' message never disappeared and they were unable to play wurdweb. All iCloud operations now have a time-out of 30 seconds, so you should never get stuck on this message ever again. Changes in this version: - Fixed interface not being the right size on any iPhone 13. - When you enable Reduce Motion in wurdweb's settings, the game will now hide all characters in the puzzles instead of showing one. - Fixed another edge case where synchronising with iCloud lead to recent progress being reset. - Slightly improved the unknown error message screen so that you can send us a screenshot when you come across an unknown error.

Changes in this version: - Added a blob to the dragging word and the closest parallel word to help you see how the underlying word rotation system works. - Added indicators to words in the word list that were just added by Plus Tiles. They disappear again after seeing them for a few seconds. - Added 11 new music tracks to wurdweb. - Added more moments where the game saves your Daily / Weekly / Monthly Mode puzzle progress. - Added more iCloud fail-safes and notices, so that iCloud fails less often but when it does, both you and us are aware of what’s happening. - Added a small in-game pop-ups showing what random puzzle options or what foreign language the game decided on. - Added the option to continue playing an expired Daily / Weekly / Monthly Mode puzzle, without submitting it to the leaderboards. - Added a ‘news scroll’ showing the current puzzle’s generation options to the pause menu. - Added ‘Reduce motion’ option to settings, which can disable the background scroll and reducing the amount of characters in puzzles. - Added ‘Replay tutorial’ button to settings. - Improved tutorial: clearer steps, fewer take-overs by the game, and a few more fail-safes for edge cases. - Improved word rotation by also rotating the dragging word when your cursor / pointer / finger is in proximity of a parallel word on the grid. - Improved word list for landscape screens by having it show more words. - Fixed the available screen resolutions check on startup on Mac’s with the M1 chip. - Fixed the nightly challenge not actually registering puzzles played at night. Sorry about this! - Fixed various puzzle generation scenarios that would generate conceptually unbeatable puzzles, especially with certain variations. - Fixed ability to place a word on top of another word entirely if that word contains that word (eg. placing meteorite over meteor). - Fixed characters suddenly running around a little too quick and glitching in place. - Fixed scroll window contents disappearing with a system message or when going in and out of the app. Hopefully for good this time. - Fixed the word count in Tangle Mode puzzles not taking into account multiple starting words. - Fixed the menu demo sometimes placing 2 words at the same time.
