Record Scanner - Vinyl & CD is an app that will help you to build, store & manage your record collection - Identify, check the price & search for songs! You can detect the song even if you have only its cover or barcode! Main features & benefits: - Easily identify a record by scanning its cover, barcode, or catalog number. - Quickly add records to your collection or wishlist. - Establish LPs/CDs/Cassettes market value. - Add additional info about the records you own. - Place records in your virtual cabinet in our cloud storage. - Instantly play the records you identified on Spotify. - Close integration with Discogs. - Available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Swedish, Portuguese, Dutch and Arabic. Identifying LPs or CDs by typing complex serial numbers on a small smartphone keyboard can be frustrating. Record Scanner reduces this process to two simple steps: 1. Take a photo of the cover 2. Specify your record format (CD / LP / Cassette) And that's it! Record Scanner enables you to have your full collection at hand - hundreds of records in your pocket! Use cases: - Found an interesting gem in a record store but you're not sure about paying the price? Check the real value of the record instantly with Record Scanner! - Want to sell some records from your collection and make room for new ones. Quickly scan your titles, jump directly to Discogs, add to your store and it's done. - A huge delivery just arrived to the record store you own and you need to quickly price all the records. Try this path: record => smartphone => photo => average prices online. - You see an interesting record sale offer online: a lot of photos of records for sale and one price for them all. Use Record Scanner to quickly check their individual prices. - You just realized that Discogs has a great collection manager feature - it might be worth to list hundreds of your records there. Listing all your records might take weeks... Not with this fancy mobile app! Download our Vinyl & CD tool and start exploring the world of music - Create and manage your music collection! Enjoy the unique and reliable music record identifier and detector! --- Terms of use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ This application uses Discogs’ API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs. ‘Discogs’ is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC.

Reviews of Record Scanner

Leave a Review Record Scanner
  • Record Scanner is the BEST

I’ll make this short and sweet. If you have a record collection then you will LOVE this App! If you plan to ( not to sound morbid) , leave your collection to a Loved one, you owe it to them to use this app, and give them a guide and a tool to use to ask a fair price for the collection.
  • So well designed it was shocking

Skip trying the others. This is the one. Period.
It is so well designed developers of other apps, even those not related to records, should really look at the design and use of this app. It will help them do a better job in their own apps.
I have seen a review concerned with the accuracy of the pricing. If this is a big concern keep in mind that you can edit the price in the app. I don’t know if there is a source for pricing others use, but this is not a concern I have at all.
If the subscription model turns you off, you can always find an inferior app that does not use this model. For now I am using the quarterly option.
By the way, I decided to subscribe after scanning about 3 or 4 albums. It is that good. I love the Cabinets. The innovative way to move records from one to another. Once you know it is easy peasy.
If there was one feature I could ask for it would be the ability to import from CSV file.
Congratulations to the devs! Job well done!

  • Cool tech but prices are wildly off-base

Far better UI than the official Discogs app. Has potential for collectors, but pricing shortcomings are present.

As a professional buyer/seller of physical music, the prices listed are heavily inflated and unrealistic. Whatever the math, the most common records that are yard sale rejects at $1 or less are shown to have $5-7 value. For those digging out a family member’s collection and thinking they have a jackpot, the realistic retail value is likely closer to 20-25% of the estimated value (without condition) and the entire collection as a lot (collector or retail store) will likely only find a buyer at about 10% of what the app tells you it’s worth. I’ve seen a lot of disappointed folks when the my see that their Jim Reeves record is not the winner they thought it was from the info in the app.
