Reviews of Bryce Canyon Audio Tour Guide

Several Crashes and plenty of anti Mormon and white propaganda if thats what you are into!

Several episodes crashed on the Bryce Canyon tour. More than just a couple. Definitely lacks QC. Plenty of clearly very biased anti Mormon and anti white views. To each their own, but this is very biased. If you want the tour to play correctly, in some areas you have to drive 20mph below the posted speed limit or it jumps mid story to the next point. Lazy and clumsy design imo. Not worth the cost.

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly sorry that the Bryce Canyon tour didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating the technical issues and content concerns must have been for you. Your feedback is important, and we’re committed to making improvements to ensure a better experience for all our users. We appreciate your understanding and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

Huge Disappointment

We travelled thousands of miles to be here in front of Zion NP, where I am writing this now, only to have the audio tour crash repeatedly inside the app. I have restarted, reinstalled, restored, etc etc etc. Customer service is no where to be found.

Response from developer

I’m sorry to hear that! We have support 24/7 — you can reach us via the menu inside the app (Call/Chat/Feedback) as well as registering for support (first screen) or visiting the FAQ page. Repeated crashes are usually a sign of poor signal/wifi during the initial download but we can experiment with a few types of solutions for you.

I feel duped

Updated:
After a very responsive exchange with the developer, they made it seem like some improvements would be on the way. While I can’t recommend the version I used, I’m hoping to give them another shot in the future simply because
of their positive customer experience response.

Original Review:
I got greedy and went for this app over the GyPSy app which we’ve enjoyed immensely in the past but costs $2 more. We saw the good reviews and it felt like a slam dunk. We were wrong right off the bat. Glitchy, freezing, starts over from the first slide every time you restart the app (do you want to take a hike or see a viewpoint without the drain on your battery?). We heard the first slide about 12 times and maybe 2 other slides, one of which was a home video of a lookout with audio of just heavy breathing. Driver can’t see these visuals... why include them? It’s not good content from what we did see, but even if it was, it wouldn’t play for us anyway. I’m thinking the good reviews are staged. Instead of saving $2, we wasted $3. Lesson learned...

Response from developer

I believe we replied to your emailed feedback form. The freezing and glitches are due to poor signal in the park — using Offline Mode fixes nearly everything described here. Our users typically enjoy the images since they help identify difficult-to-see formations within Bryce. We don’t need to stage any reviews. Nevertheless, we are always happy to compensate users who didn’t have an excellent tour experience!
