Really enjoying the classic text RPG mechanics. Though I’m only 30-ish minutes in, the story and writing seem pretty good.
There are some quality of life improvements that could be made though. Here are my suggestions from my early impressions:
1) Searching the area in each node is a little tedious as you have to press once to search, then you see that there’s some gold, but not how much, then you press again to see the amount, then again to return. Why not just have one press to search and add the gold unless there’s some decision to be made?
2) When looking at weapons, armour etc in shops, it’s really quite annoying having to back out of the conversation entirely to remind yourself of your current stats. Please consider adding something to the interface to show the current stats of your equipment. E.g. when looking at weapons, show the difference, or at least the stats of your current weapon.
3) If you’ve already exhausted all conversation paths with a character, it would be good if their portrait was greyed-out so you don’t have to waste time talking to them again to check if there’s anything else to learn.Show lessAsciiSmoke
EPISODE 1 END BOSS
DO NOT ENTER TEMPLE OF AROS! Once you enter you can’t go back and the game doesn’t specifically state that! I skipped one town because there was a strong monster blocking the entrance so I was gonna raid the lower boss levels and then come back with better loot but now I’m stuck inside the temple and can’t beat the boss. The most I’ve been able to do is half his health after 30+ tries with second best armor and end game cards. I’ve bought the best armor but with the way leveling in this game works I can’t equip it. I have 9 might, but it requires 10 ;-;Show lesskwinnerman

the art is beautiful, the prologue is well written. i’m definitely intrigued to know more, & when i’ve got the money to spare i think i’ll definitely be buying the next chapter!LadyCravenheart

Developer help please???
I’ve been stuck at the Altar of Aros for four days now. Zero progress. Nothing but defeat, after defeat, after defeat. Unable to leave and get new equipment or gear from other towns. Leveling up is excruciatingly slow as well. All I’m able to do is go back and forth from entrance to the boss murdering skeletons. Absolutely nothing else. Can somebody please help fix this? I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the game so far but this is becoming mindbendingly aggravatingShow lessTrouserTrooper

An amazing game but I’m writing this review to say everything is perfect but Dagor is so op that I’ve been on the fight scene for 2 whole days and get tapped out after 3 hits pls nerfInitialVoid

I love the idea and the meticulous design
The art is beautiful
The story is immersive
As yet it isn’t choose your own adventure but I can almost see it going that way (perhaps in future episodes)
I am however stuck and possibly unable to progress with one character (cannot beat a boss with skills and cannot leave area to get new skills) but I’m also not super savvy with this type of game so many there’s a way around it
This is rather disheartening as prior to this point there wasn’t anything that couldn’t be overcome
Don’t try to divide your skills it does not seem to benefit you at this point pick a path an hard commit

Keep developing more story lines
I’ve never been big into RPG. Most don’t capture my attention. This one has a great story, graphics are really well drawn, the card battles are good and like when you power up you can control the spin. Just purchased episode 1 and know I’ll buy another when more episodes are released.DJ Dreidel
