Is the app still current?

Three of us are going skiing to the three valleys 14th December. We would like to use this app for navigation and the group features.

However, we initially understood that we could buy daily, or 6 day passes but the only option available is yearly at £20.This is far too expensive when there’s 3 licenses to purchase for only 6 days.

Please can you let us know if the daily or 6 day passes will be available again? The email on your website is not valid to ask the question.

V good but some improvements needed

This has the potential to be an excellent app but after using for a couple of days in the 3valleys, I would really push for the following improvements:

1) The routing is not 100%. In one case it seemed to suggest we take a cable car down instead of skiing down, which was a bit weird, but generally it was good.

2) Each instruction should be stated twice. You can ask Siri to repeat but it would be very useful to have each instruction stated a couple of times. Often you are focused on your skiing and it can be noisy with wind etc. I did have all the volume options set to max.

3) There should be more routing filters. For example we like to avoid cable cars where possible. If a route is then not possible - it should tell the user such.

4) Routing filters like red/blue/black pistes should have a ‘preferred’ option rather than a total elimination filter. We are good skiers but today we wanted a relaxed day skiing, so would be really useful to say: Please stick to blues if possible but red/black ok if needed.

4) Add suggested tours for each ski resort. Not essential but then you really don’t need to bother with a map. At the moment- it’s more like - decide where you want to go and the app will take you there.

Other than that it is actually a very good app and I would recommend to others. It takes half a day to get used to how it works etc.

Response from developer

Thanks so much for your valuable feedback. I love the ideas about repeating the commands twice. Most of the features you mentioned are on our road map. Thanks so much and keep up the great feedback.

Great 3d map and navigation

Best ski navigation app I’ve found, 3d maps are smoother than FATMAP in my opinion and show you how wide the runs are.
The ability to drop pins for start and end points and chose types of runs to avoid is great for beginners and people useless at reading maps.

Thanks for your feedback. All of our resorts listed should have live status throughout the season. We scrape this information right from the resorts websites and are updating every 10 minutes. So in principle they should be as accurate as the resorts display on their app or website. Can you tell me what resort you were at and when? Perhaps it’s offline and we can fix it. And if you’d like us to refund your money please send an email to robert@snonav.com and I’d be happy to refund your annual pass. Again, thanks for your incredible feedback and we will do whatever we can to make our customers happy.

Incredible product

This is an amazing app that helped my group of friends and I who are all different ability levels to be able to ski together on our trip! Super easy to use and great quality of service!

Thanks so much for your feedback and trying Snonav. Happy holidays !!

Game changing!

I’m a novice skier and the first time I was at Big Sky I made a wrong turn and ended up on a trail that was way too difficult for me! Snonav makes sure this doesn’t ever happen and gives me ways to enjoy myself and meet up with friends and they can go have fun on the more challenging slopes! This is the tech skiing needed!

SNONAV IS AMAZING

We had to rush to the bottom of the mountain to get to my sons ski school pick up and we were in the back bowls, with no resort guide or helper insight and we had someone tell us to get snonav and it helped us get to him at the bottom of the mountain just in time for his pick up. THANK YOU SNONAV!!!!

Thanks we worked hard on all of these new features. Keep the ideas and feedback coming.

Wow 3D maps are awesome

What a great app for keeping track of my kids on the mountain!

I wish it worked.

Great idea. I hope they work on it to make it functional . It’s hard to use and doesn’t keep up with you on the slope. My guess is they need better gps data on the slopes for each resort. I tried at deer valley, park city resort, big sky, vail and breck last season. I know most of these hills well and this app just didn’t work well.

update:

Got a response from Robert from support. Asking for details and offering help.
I emailed back providing details and willing to help them by actually offering to test and give feedback this season. No reply!

Again I love the concept but not only does it not work while skiing you can add to the negative list of no follow up from support.

3D Maps abs Snogroups

The new 3D map update made it super easy to find where you are on the mountain, and the Snogroups feature made it an ease to find my friends that were scattered all around! Great update!!! 10/10 recommend!

Thanks so much. Check out our latest updates.

3D maps!

Just got back from a trip to the Alps. Snonav was super helpful in routing around from village to village and the complex lift systems. The new 3D mapping is amazing. So much easier to see your orientation and how the trails connect. We had a large amount of pepper skiing so snogroups was supper useful to help us see where each other were and to find each other on the mountain.
