I have moderate hearing loss in both ears and struggle to hear people particularly in crowded loud rooms. I have yet to try this at home watching TV but can vouch for it doing an incredible job at train stations and airports where its often hard for people with perfect hearing to hear what's going on.

Indicated normal hearing for age group. A great app to check for music induced damage or loud environment induced damage. Fortunately I keep volume levels to 50%, if wearing headphones and listening to youtube or netflix via tablet or computer.
