Forget this game
As always...this low graphic game makes you pay an extortionate price and then after hours of playing for months you try load your game 5 years in and it cant handle the data storage and keeps closing the app....if that happens then what is the point committing to play this game? Please i tell any of you reading this...dont waste your time PURCHASING the app...this problem has happened time and time again. And the developers never bother fixing this problem as long as they take your money...and sorry for the price it is...which is ridiculously exuberant...dont bother...football games never do this...and i know that last comment will hurt developers of this game most! Dont betray avid supporters of these games for very poor game development! You KNOW what you have done...same things going on since Cricket Captain 2015 👍🏽

Ok but not improved in 4/5 generations, not worth the money
Been playing cricket captain since the 2006 edition with KP on the front but things have only marginally improved since then- it makes you wonder where the cash is going when you see free games with a bit less depth to the game engine but 10x times better graphics and 5x the improvement rate between versions
The improvements made to the engine in that time can barely be classed as incremental. Adding one other nations in besides england/Aus etc per year and I'm struggling to see what been done for 7/8 of those years of the 15 since I started playing the game. It’s not like it’s deadly accurate, get to the MCCUs in the UK and the accuracy is gone. The tactics have slightly changed but still marginally resemble what happens on a cricket field and there has been the odd change to how you can train, that’s it!
If compare a screenshot of the original game 06 game I played next to this one and you’d have to look closely for improvements. Not asking for 4k graphic but perhaps something that looks a little less like it’s being played on PS1.
Have kept paying to this point each year in support of a game I’ve enjoyed for years, hoping to see some improvements but am always disappointed and it’s worth paying anymore.

Not bad
Pretty good game, would love to see ratings added in the future as the regen players later in the career will be easier to distinguish from the bad ones and good ones.
Genuinely awful game, incredibly scripted
Whoever created this game needs a slap in the face. A complete rip off that is just copy and pasted each year. Waste of money and the developers should come out and apologise for how dreadful this game is. Unplayable at best and rage inducing to say the least. Would not buy and recommend you to give the game a 1 star review as well.

DLS wrong but great game!
Love the game and only one (big) flaw. When batting first, if it starts raining and you lose overs, you end up having to defend and even lower score than you made instead of getting additional runs for time lost!?
T20 AI broken
The AI in T20 is broken, the team that bats first always gets around 100 stupid
Fundamentally flawed
Any time you set the aggression to high e.g in a run chase the batsman seemingly forget how to play the game and you’ll get overs of 2,3 runs or even maidens when you’re needing 10 an over. If you set the aggression lower you won’t score fast enough, meaning run chases of 150+ are effectively impossible. The bowling side is better, but for the price it’s not worth it. Played CC 2017 a few years back and the game has gone backwards massively.

What happened?
I have not had fun in a Cricket Captain game since the 2006 version. I started playing and supporting CC since 2002. Almost 2 decades of support and almost a decade of disappointment.
Am I just wasting my time? Hoping for something new? A more logical game engine that allows for finely tuned tactics but as well as nice and easy casual experience when wanted? New graphics? DRS?
How about a team and player editor? Look at Football Manager that’s been around for a similar time. They’re so good that professional teams use them as scouting tools! Does this development crew not have the same ambition?
I feel like echoing the other user’s statements here, the app is not on the cheap end, yet year in and out we pay because we support. Next year? I think this is the end.
