Same old rubbish
Honestly this is the worst cricket game ever made - Bangladesh and Afghanistan routinely win the World Cup and chase down 300+ scores v India and Australia. I once had the number 11 of Bangladesh hit 79* in a test for Bangladesh to chase down 450 batting on a day 5 pitch. Their match engine is totally broken.

Your tactics make no difference
Sadly, the game engine seems to take no account of your tactics and selection - the way a match pans out is seemingly pre-determined. I played the same t20 game 25 times, and no matter what I did, the result was the same, with very similar scores each time. My opponent invariably made between 165 and 180, even after being 50-6 in one game, and I was invariably all out around 120, nearly always after losing 4 quick wickets. Very disappointing - the game engine seems to have gone backwards.

It would benefit the game so much if as the captain, I could choose to review decisions and have the umpire make occasional incorrect decisions. As well as this, There is not enough research done on players. It is obvious that you don’t watch the Australian BBL (for example) and instead just look at stats and guess. Players like Beau Webster are terrible at playing against spin and yet, you have him as a ‘spin specialist’. The 3rd and final point I have is batsmen should have several positions to bat at. In 1st class, Joe Denly can open or bat 3 and Sunil Narine Can open or bat 7. Still a great game though and would definitely recommend.

Waste of money
Having written a critical review of the 19 version, and not bothering to pay for it, I stupidly decided that a year on things must have improved and wasted £8.99. If they have improved, all I can say is that apart from updated stats, it’s very difficult to tell. Compared to many other sports simulation games in the AppStore the graphical animation of batting and fielding is truly atrocious. In fact the developers have done absolutely nothing obvious to improve this from that of the first version and are simply milking a gullible customer base. The batsmen’s shots, the fielding, run outs, appeals, wicket celebrations are horrendous. The gameplay AI (more like AS - artificial stupidity) is terrible and do not provide anything close to the atmosphere of a real game. Playing at easy level, any games are almost impossible to win. Even if your side has plenty of wickets in hand, and your batter’s aggression is set high, in a run chase there is more likely to be a series of maiden overs. It’s taken me a day to realise the game is a waste of time. I won’t make the same mistake again!

Has such potential
I don’t leave reviews often, but this game is utter crap, for some reason, your team plays well in the first innings and then falls to pieces in the 2nd. I wouldn’t mind if it was now and then but it’s every game. The fact they want 8 quid for the full game is a joke.
This game had such potential to be great too but it seems the developers got greedy and lazy

Amazing
I have been playing this game for about 4 days now. I have purchased the full version. It’s my favourite game ever! Every spare minute I have got I have played this game.
Response from developer
Hi George, This is unusual, can you contact us through here: https://childishthings.com/support.php
Good but should be ultimately free
I enjoy playing this game but it annoys me that to continue playing a game I have to spend $13 on it.
Needs WBBL
Always enjoyed cricket captain, but why no women’s cricket.
Some ideas
The game is stagnant and on life support I fear. Here are some ideas :
1. Ditch the 3D graphics, they are past sell-by date and are holding you back
2. Go to top down view, similar to football manager, using real ground images
3. Develop press conferences and player interaction by the manager - morale, mood, etc
4. Either get rid of training or develop new methods, bowling, fielding, batting, or nets
5. DRS!!!!!!!

Decent
It’s good, but I swear this thing is biased toward India winning every game, because whatever country I choose, they always lose to India in a limited overs series. Otherwise great
