Leave a Review Dividend Tracker°
Used to be one of the more robust dividend trackers
Of all the dividend trackers this one was the best for quite awhile. I enjoyed adding new buys to my portfolio.
However, I discovered that the amount it says you will make annually is significantly off from security to security. It will have the correct dividend per share, but the annual calculated amount for each security will be off sometimes by as much as $30 or $40 dollars!
I actually went through and calculated the amount of dividend I’m to receive annually for each security and all the numbers the app reports are less than what I actually receive.
I had the paid version too.
Seems like this should have been something the developer should have caught earlier in testing.
I discontinued my subscription and deleted the app.Show lessNice, but lacks some important features.
Been using this app for over a year on the annual subscription. I like it, but there are a few shortcomings.
First there is no way to view or access a transaction history for individual investments. Secondly, DRIP’s are not accurate and it’s best to just turn off this feature and enter reinvestments manually as a buy.
Fixing a few things would make this app a keeper.Show lessPortfolio Composition
The app is pretty nice but the portfolio composition is determined off the original cost basis of the investment and not the current market value which makes absolutely zero sense. I tried to look into the settings to see if this can be changed but haven’t had any luck. Nobody looks at stock concentration off of the original cost basis as this is irrelevant so should be fixed.
My other complaint would be that the compound horizon calculator uses the original cost basis of the portfolio to estimate what it would be worth in 20 years as opposed to the current market value of the portfolio.Show lessSimple but great
I wanted a simple no fuss dividend tracker app and this checked off all my boxes. It’s super simple to easy, easy to keep track of your portfolio, and has all the features I need. Some apps try to do too much and forget what their main purpose is. I highly recommend this app.Good and bad…read here
This review is for the PAID $2.99 per month version
First the good:
Clean, attractive interface.
Gives good information about your dividends.
Now the bad:
It cannot find most (if not all) PREFERRED stock symbols. Not good at all.
The Developer will not get back to you with answers to your questions. I have waited 2 weeks before I made this comment
You CANNOT use it on more than one device without entering your information on both devices. There is no “sync” with data in the cloud. You cannot backup your information on one device, email it to yourself and restore it on another device to sync them either. BIG PROBLEM for me.
I will be dropping my subscription until these are rectified.Show lessSo far so good!
I’ve only been using the app about a month but I can see how helpful it will be going forward. I’ll update after a few cycles to see how the reinvestment calculations go.
As far as support, I had a problem syncing PRO to my iPhone from my iPad. After several emails back and forth John was able to figure out the issue and solve my problem.Show lessGreat app
Love the app it seems to keep track of the divided disbursement accurately, as long as you input your correct amount of stocks owed. My only complaint would be you have to make a separate portfolio for all your stocks if you combine them together like 401k, Roth etc. it then get counted in your overall portfolio and throws your amount off. I would like to see where you can have an overall total portfolio that isn’t added to the overall total on the same account.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hello, Thanks for your feedback. Would you please email me at support@divtracker.app so I could get a better understanding of your request.Update with iCloud was a Winner
Thank you so much for updating the app with iCloud syncing support. I was getting real tired of updating three different devices every time I added/deleted an investment. Just in time as I was getting ready to pull the plug on my annual subscription renewal. Now please just make it Universal and take advantage of the screen real estate afforded by iPads and iPad Pros. It looks OK on an iPhone but almost childish on an iPad. Look to DivTracker as an example of a sophisticated and informative user interface.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thanks for your feedback! The next big feature is to bring iPad support to the app. :)This is a fantastic app!
Once you get it set up it’s really quick to review your holdings and see how you did on the day.
I install this on my iPad and I also installed on my iPhone and restored purchases to unlock all the features. But there is no ability to sync the data from the iPad app to the IPhone. I can’t enter all the data on two devices.Show lessPro’s and con’s of this tracker
Pro’s:
1. User friendly with a learning curve
2. Ability to set up multiple portfolios (I.e. Robinhood, M1, Vanguard, etc.)
3. Visual calendar when dividends are estimated or confirmed
4. Auto update on yield % and gain %
5. DRIP feature with forecasting
6. Cost - great value
Con’s
1. No auto upload feature, everything must get manually keyed in.
2. The overview tab only shows 1 portfolio, so if you have multiple, it’s not really a comprehensive overview. That’s really annoying and really my #1 issue.
Overall, good product but could be improved by offering a comprehensive overview.Show less
