Camera = good App = TERRIBLE

This camera itself has a lot of great features. It works well and the live video feed is amazing. I love all of that. The problem seems to be with the UCon app. It constantly asks for more and more permissions to access things on your phone that it doesn’t need access to. It crashes almost every time I open it. I always have to close all the way out of the app and then restart it to get any feed back. Even when the live video starts working, it still frequently says it can’t access the photos from today, so it is just blank. I also don’t like that it downloads photos straight to my photo album. My other cam is a Tactacam and it stores all the photos in the app itself so I don’t have to have a million trail cam pics in my normal photos. Overall, the camera works well, the app is awful. I wish I had something else. Well, really I just wish the app didn’t constantly ask for access and that it would actually function as advertised, because I really do like the camera.

Ehhh

I don’t like that you have to pay for 4g to be able to use this camera at all. It’s $20 a month per camera. My kindle uses 4g and there is no monthly fee to use it. At the purchase of this camera it should be included. The SD works fine, but it’s slow to download videos and you can not delete the videos individually. You have to delete them all together when you format the card or the camera will delete the oldest when it gets filled. This camera is not sensitive enough. I have it side by side with my other trail camera and this one with the same settings didn’t pick up a fox or my neighbors dog. I’m going to go with something else because the hassle and monthly fee to use 4g is not worth it.

SCAM! Don’t download

SCM SCAM SCAM!!! I bought the deer cam and downloaded the app. In 30 mins the information I put in my phone to register (name, email, ect.) they used to start emailing me scam emails and blackmail emails. I will be contacting Apple about this Chines SCAM app. You also do not get the month of free cellular on the deer cam. You get just enough time to hook it up and then it wants you to pay hundreds of dollars to be able to use it. Total scam and now I’m getting tons of scam calls and emails.

Poor Function and NOT worth the money

Just seen where another customer had the same issue I currently have. I purchased 2 cameras and both barely worked and had full service bars. I moved one camera to a different spot and could no longer access my live view. Tried resetting the camera and re-adding with no success. Better off spending the extra money and getting better brands. I do NOT recommend this product

Works great

Fantastic

Great Camera for the price

Bought this camera a little over a year ago and have been running it for 10 months straight. Only problem I’ve had is on rainy/windy days, lots of tree limbs make it go crazy, even on lowest trip setting. The trigger time to phone time is sluggish in areas with very poor cell coverage like mine, but what I miss on notifications are caught well by the camera itself.

The zoom is crazy god and the ability to pan is way better than expected. It’s held up well through freezing temps in the winter and 100+ degree Texas summers. The screws for the base mounts are god for one time. If you move the camera or solar panel take new screws. The cheap chineseum screws will break on the second use. Deer camera

It works great at home, now time to put it in the field and to the test, everything works amazing so shouldn’t be any complaints! Would buy another

Horrible customer service

I purchased this trail camera to use during hunting season. The camera itself is well made and the pictures are high quality. Beyond that, the support is nonexistent. I have mine set up in northern Michigan and the signal seems fine, however it just stops randomly. Also, the SD card won’t recognize the “scandisk” card that I bought. I ended up paying for cloud storage. This is where I have my biggest issue. The cloud storage shows videos/photos one time then the next time it says “no video in cloud”. I try to link into the customer service, because there isn’t a phone number to call, and the link will not connect. Thankfully I only bought a 30 day block of cloud storage, which wasn’t too expensive ($1.99), but this has made a product which could be excellent mediocre at best.

Smooth setup.

Review written 30 mins. after getting camera out the box. Everything worked as planned and I now have a live feed via cellular to my phone. Will send another review once it has been set up outside and used for a few days.
