I’m mostly pleased with the app. I’ve been using it on my property for about a month now. I live 4 hours away from a piece of property that I’ve purchased. My goal is to build on it in the next year or two. But in the meantime, I wanted a way to keep an eye on it when I’m not physically there. The camera I bought and this app meet that need.
There are times when the image isn’t as clear as I’d prefer, but I don’t know if that is the app or the camera. So it’s not fair to ding the app for that.
My only complaint with the app so far, and the reason I’m not giving it a full 5 stars, is because it doesn’t always load the live image OR sometimes the cloud image/video just won’t load at all. I’ve complained to customer service about this. They have been very responsive. However their suggestion to the “fix” is to switch my phone off wifi to cellular data. So in those moments when images won’t load, I do that. Sometimes that “solution” works, sometimes it doesn’t. When it doesn’t, I close the app and try again until it does. So that’s annoying to me. I wish I could rely on it to load 100% of the time. I have figured out that even when an image or video from the cloud won’t load, I can hit the download button and see it in my phone’s photo folder.
As I stated before, I’m using this app to keep an eye on property that I cannot visit daily. It meets my needs enough that I’m pleased with it and don’t feel the need to find a replacement. I just get super annoyed with that one quirk.
