We changed the layout of Agility Gate a little bit, to hopefully make some functionality easier to use. Now when you are looking at a trial, you will see tabs at the bottom for "Run Order", "Messages", and "Maps". This will allow you to easily access each of these items quickly and bring relevant information about new Messages up front. If your show has course maps, they will also be located in a single location to make things easier to find. The trial lists are broken up by date now to make shows easier to find. And finally, general bug fixes in the app including a pretty nasty issue where running certain VPNs would prevent the app from launching at all.

Some improvements in the way that things work behind the scenes. Also made updates so that you can see run orders/maps for a show without entering a code. You'll still need a code when trying to check-in. Finally, try touching and holding the help icon for a couple of seconds in the app for a surprise!

It's been awhile, but we've added some changes that should make things in the app even better for competitors: * Receive messages from the trial committee in the app and via notifications. Sometimes things happen at a show and the trial committee needs a way to reach out to competitors to make announcements. Now they can send message to everyone at the show. And if you choose to enable notifications, you can even receive those announcements when the app is closed. * BIS designations in the app. If you are running in a venue that allows BIS, now those dogs can be marked as such in the app * Download completed run orders as PDF. For all those photographers and videographers that want a way to capture the run order at the end of the day, you can now download them in the app as a PDF and either save it to your device or print it from your phone. * Lots of bug fixes that hopefully fix the infinite spin some people got when trying to show a list of trials. And... just to see if you are paying attention. Next time you are at a show, pick a dog, say ten ahead of yours and touch and hold on that dog's name in the run order for a surprise :)

Fixing issues where downloading maps to your device didn't do anything. The app should properly ask for permissions to save the map to your Photos and do so. If you haven't granted permissions to do so, it should give you the option to update your settings appropriately.

Added better support for different sports like Barn Hunt and Scent Work. Also added a "Last Updated" ticker at the bottom of the classes so you can see when your app was last updated with new information about the class.

Dark mode is... darker! If Walk Groups are defined for a class and are marked by the gate, you will be able to visually see which dogs/handlers should be walking at the moment. No need to guess which group should be walking the course.

Description of Agility Gate

At a busy dog show, getting your dog to the line in an efficient manner becomes more and more difficult. Rather than crowd around gate sheets, why not check-in your dog on your phone and see how far out you are from heading into the ring. Check-in your dog, scratch or even mark yourself as a conflict and see the gate update in real-time.

Reviews of Agility Gate

  • Love this app!

This app is soooo convenient at a trial. Gate sheets and course maps in the same place make life a little easier at a busy trial. My only complaint is that I wish more trials used this.
  • Really nice app

As a new agility competitor this is really helpful to keep us informed on progress toward our turn. What would be SUPER HELPFUL would be two enhancements: 1) estimated time to a competitor’s time (use std estimated run time+in/out time) so we would have a very rough approximation of when to warm up etc. Currently I have to manually add # of dogs to know if we are 1 or 2 hrs out. 2) Having results posted would be super also. PDF’s of scoring for each class like the printouts that are physically pinned up. Sometimes you don’t remember to go and take a picture of a score sheet.
    Thanks!!
  • SO HELPFUL!!

For trials both big and small, this app makes staying organized and showing up to run at the right time a breeze. I am both a competitor and a trial photographer so features like maps, marking conflicts, and getting a pdf of the run order with dog and handler names are all incredibly helpful. I LOVE when trials use this app, such an awesome tool! (Thanks Roger!!)
