  • Awesome Music Selection - Unstable Streaming Experience

I really like the aesthetics of the app and the music choices are exceptional. Better than W Hotel app ever was.

BUT…listening quickly becomes a frustrating experience because the app stops streaming the playlist after one or two songs requiring me to advance by one or two songs to get the app to play again. Just not a lot of fun to have to keep manually “pushing” the playlist along. It’s really too bad because I think Poolsuite FM is easily 5 Star potential.

  • love this app, but the bug makes it unusable

such a huge fan of poolsuite and have been using this app for so long for ✨solid vibes✨

recently, there’s been a bug introduced that inhibits continuous play for any of the radios i choose - the song will stop at completion and I have to manually “skip” to the next song in the playlist. makes the app unusable for me, which is so sad! please fix this soon, miss my tunes 💋

  • SOMA FM's 16-bit baby sister?

Poolsuite FM app feels like SOMA FM's 16-bit baby sister. Poolsuite FM similarly streams music in a selection of channels. There are currently six channels: Poolsuite FM; Latest 20 Tracks; Indie Summer; Hangover Club; Tokyo Disco; and Friday Nite Heat. There's little difference between these; all channels play synth-driven, dreamy vocal tracks with a late 80s / early 90s vibe. If you're looking for light, vaguely pleasant but ultimately forgettable music to stream in a coffeeshop background inoffensively, Poolsuite FM may be the app for you.

  • In its own words: "Luxurious yet leisurely"

I've yet to find a music streaming app with as much love put into it as Poolsuite FM. The nostalgic summer aesthetic is so well executed that it almost feels like a crime to leave the app running in the background, not to mention THE MUSIC.

The songs -- all provided via SoundCloud -- fit perfectly with the aesthetic the app is going for. It's so easy to picture yourself by a pool or beach listening to these tracks. If there's any criticism I could possibly make, it's that the app version starts off on the same track each time the app opens (i.e. "need a girl like shego" when choosing the "hangover club" station), but it honestly feels like nitpicking.

TLDR; if this app won't make you want to go swimming you're probably dead inside.

  • It is Enjoyable

Poolsuite FM is fun to listen to and appeals to people feeling nostalgic over loss of technology while still being modern. But there are a couple things that irritate me endlessly as a user including the same songs playing when I first open the app and there being no fast forward or rewind button.

The same songs are playing when I first open the app most days. It isn’t that I don’t like those songs per say… It is more like that if those songs were to pop up occasionally through out the day as I listen, then that feels more exciting than being fed the same round of food almost every time I stop in. If I like the song, I will favorite the first time I listen. There is no need to keep playing it straight away in case I may suddenly decide I like it. Perhaps this is an error between the app and my phone? I am not stuck on my favorites playlist or anything. I wonder if someone must pay Poolsuite FM to be the first person played and that is what is causing this? I used to think maybe the songs were very limited in number and this caused repetitiveness, but I have realized I can listen extendedly and hear a new song every time as long as I skip the first four or so songs. This is something I do not understand.

Again, I would appreciate a fast forward and rewind button. Right now all we have is the option to skip or go back.

Thank you otherwise for an interesting app.

  • Nostalgia in so many ways!

The aesthetic of your app is perfect for us olds that grew up on Macintosh SEs in school and the Vaporwave 80’s Yacht Rock lounge is so perfect for my poolside cocktails.

Thank you for a fantastic soundtrack that I can only hope continues to expand! Now excuse me, I have some sunscreen to buy…
  • A E S T H E T I C

Absolutely beautiful app with a look that completely fits the vibe of the music and appeals to my nostalgia for outdated technology (in look only) and old commercials and travelogues. Functionally it’s simple, but what it does, it does very well with only one minor bug I noticed (switching to another app and back can cause the playlist to revert back to the first song, so repeats are a bit too common).

My only suggestion would be one additional station for “sunset” music that focuses on more pure vaporwave instrumentals. Hangover Club is great for that, but with all the great relaxing “martini under a palm tree on a sunny day at a classy private resort” tunes, I think it just needs the one more “red sun setting against a pink idealistic 1980’s sky at the end of the day” station. On the other hand, too many options could threaten the simple purity of what the app is going for as a piece of art aiming for a specific tone, and the devs have earned my trust to do what’s best. Amazing work and great musical taste.

  • Love this! It's my perfect afternoon office companion.

I only have one request. When I start the app, the "POOLSUITE!" audio tag is awesome, but insanely loud. Please make it lower or optional or something. Other than that, don't change a thing! Thanks for this.
  • Playlists for memories of a distant past

Listening to this delightful little radio sends me back in time, and space, inside the brain of a human being I’ve never been. Nonetheless this nice human being seems familiar, I can definitely relate and the urge for a drink becomes irresistible. I close my eyes and follow the rhythm with my left foot thinking: if only I could have the random button and be constantly surprised!
