Awesome Habits User Reviews

Top reviews

It’s good at a lot but…

The frequency options for habits lag behind others.

For example whilst you can set certain days for habits, you can’t set a habit for an amount of times per week, as an example I follow a 4 day work out routine, my work schedule means I sometimes need to adjust the days I train.

So as long as I do all 4 sessions I will have completed my weekly goal, no matter whether I did the session on Tuesday or Wednesday unfortunately the app doesn’t allow this.

Thank you for your feedback! Have you tried setting a weekly goal for your habit? Go to the Edit habit screen > How often? > select Weekly goal. Then go back to the previous screen and set goal 4 at the bottom. We believe this may be what you are looking for. If not, please contact us at feedback@awesome-habits.com, we'd love to hear more details about your feature request.

Need feature

I need to purchase this app. Really good UI design and matching with ios. But one thing I needed is missing. I need sub tasks with time for each. As example main task is music. Sub task is breathing, vocal warm up. Each sub task must have a timer to log the practice time.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! We are sorry that our app does not fully meet your expectations. We will definitely consider adding the sub-tasks feature in future updates. In the meantime, we'd recommend trying to group your habits into lists. One habit can be added to multiple lists and you can easily filter by lists on the Home tab and in statistics. If you have any further feedback, please feel free to contact us at feedback@awesome-habits.com. We are always looking for ways to improve our app.

Everything about using this app has been pleasing to me.

The app interface is simple and intuitive, whilst also providing all the functions that spring to mind. During my initial subscription month, which expired on the day I wrote this review, I emailed the developer a feature related question. He responded within hours. Twice. Outstanding support. As such, I am buying the app outright.

I think this app is well suited to the subscription model, as learning new habits might occur over only a few months. That said, I am not generally a fan of subscription models and prefer to buy. In this case the developer also seems to have put some careful thought toward the pricing structure, as it seems reasonable to me at each price point (monthly or annual subscription, or buy).

Finally, and also importantly, the app does not needlessly collect data. This is a significant positive given the fact that many others apps track you.

So, if you want to change your habits, and are looking for a reasonably priced and simple to use app - this may be for you!

Great for the new me

After searching through lots of apps I eventually found this one and was really pleased with the simplicity and effectiveness of it. The structure for setting your goals is so easy and flexible has really appealed to me. I’ve just started a 100 day challenge to get back to being good and this is the app for me! Wish me luck!

Lots of features & simple to use

I was looking into various habit trackers, and I love the appearance and user friendly experience of this one. It is simple to use but loaded with features. The widgets are exactly what I was looking for in a habit tracker to make it easy to use throughout my busy day. Do yourself a favor and pay for premium to access the widgets, I really think it will be a key to success for users interested in this type of app. You can tell the developer cares and continues to improve this app upon reading the reviews and seeing they’ve added suggested features from users in the past. Super responsive too when I had a question about getting lifetime subscription after free trial period. Thank you so much for dedicating your time to creating and maintaining this wonderful app!

Simple, effective and aesthetically pleasing

Overall I’d say this is the most minimalistic yet aesthetic looking habit tracker I’ve found so far. The widget is nice I use it every day, the only thing I would like is widget themes but other than that not complaints. And the paid version is a cheap subscription or a small fee for a forever version.

Not sure why there needs to be a subscription

Don’t think this app offers anything over something like Streaks.

Usually when apps charge a subscription they can often justify it by saying that your data is stored in your account for that service, which obviously takes up storage for the developer and server bandwidth and whatnot. However this app just uses iCloud to sync, which I already pay for. I don’t understand why I would also need to subscribe when all the operations of the app would be taking place on my device or through iCloud which I’m paying for, not the developer.

The developer might say that they need to charge a subscription to fund development, but that only flys as a reason if the user expects frequent development and new features. Habit trackers don’t tend to need constant new features - there is a certain point at which an app becomes a good habit tracker. Development can be funded to this point through one time purchases.

Hard to see the subscription model here as anything other than a cash grab.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! Actually, we offer both, a subscription and a one-time purchase (Lifetime Premium). It is available on all premium offer screens as the 3rd option. We are committed to continuous improvement of our app and all paid plans are intended to support the development of our app. This includes new features, support for new versions of iOS, macOS and watchOS, and providing user support. In case you missed our lifetime plan and would like to switch to it, please contact us at feedback@awesome-habits.com, we will be happy to assist. We would also greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to better communicate our paid plans and avoid potential misunderstandings.

What you want out of a habit tracking app, no more, no less :-)

Definitely would recommend, first one that did it for me!

This seems like a really good habit-tracking app!

You can set up any number of daily, weekly or monthly habits to track, and can also put them into custom–named categories. I like that the main screen with the habits being tracked also displays a percentage of completion, which can count either your daily tasks, or all tasks via one of the settings. And the percentage of completion doesn’t seem to be an All-or-Nothing situation. For example, if a habit needs a count of seven to complete and you have only performed it four times, you get credit for that. Nice.

You can activate a setting that moves completed Habits to the bottom of the daily/weekly/monthly list, so you can concentrate on the ones that aren’t completed.

The only thing I wish was improved is the completion sound, which seems a bit harsh. A setting allows it to be silenced, or changed to vibration mode.

Overall, I really like this app!

Really great habit tracking app.

I have just recently changed from my ol habit tracking app to this one due to some really great features on offer and a reliable widgets implimentation.

The app is worthy of 4 stars at the moment, but the extra star was given for the really great support feedback from the devlopers and their willingness to include end user suggestions into their development plans.

I really look forward to the enhancements that are yet to come.
