  • Good but not great

Good but not great is my view. It does separate the tracks but there is often audio bleed if you isolate to a single instrument to work out the part; works better the other way round, eg whole band without vocal or guitar (for example) for you to play your part along with the recording. Better with newer recordings; it doesn’t like early Beatles for example which may have been recorded in mono or a few tracks. But its biggest flaw is it doesn’t work with Apple Music tracks, it ONLY can access ripped or downloaded tracks (MP3 MP4A FLAC) - this is a real limitation in todays music market. Ive tried purchasing single tracks from the Apple Store when i do not own the CD but that doesn’t work either. Another feature that other apps I use have is the ability to store loops (eg just the verse and chorus or loop the {bagpipe} solo), you have to reset it every time you use it. One last point and this is minor, adjusting the BPM is via a slider, you can’t type in a speed or adjust the recording by a percentage.

  • Awesome App!!

Being a musician (drummer) and finding a way to practice ALONG with the song while giving you that full band experience is great!! Being able to download individual tracks and adjust the volume as well is also a bonus!! Ability to change the keys and adjust the tempo is always a blessing on anything however the fact that it’s learning to spell out the chords in the songs is very impressive. I would love to see an option to split potentially more tracks or a better variety of separations would be nice as well. Also if there was a way for it to learn where the loop should go would be dope as well. It’s nice that it loops the entire song but if it could loop at a spot that wasn’t “off” of the music or interrupting to the flow that would be cold!!!!! However I am very impressed with this App!! Definitely recommend to anyone looking to not only spice up rehearsal time but to spice up your overall approach!!!

  • Incredible!!

This app has changed my life. Due to a hard drive failure, I lost the multitrack sessions of what was supposed to be my first album. Thanks to Moises, and the constantly improving algorithm, I have been able to separate the tracks of the rough mixes, now practically flawlessly, import them into Pro Tools, and keep the parts I like, add new parts, edit, and remix. The project is almost complete.

Another incredible new feature (only available on the web or computer-based app), is the ability to detect and fix pitch and time issues with a file recorded from an old analog source. Now, it detects by the cent, not just the semitone. It is essential for anyone who does audio restoration. The possible uses for this app are practically infinite for any musician or producer!

  • Such a useful App!!

I truly and genuinely love this app. Has helped me with plenty of projects and is so intuitive!
  • Tsireya..Erq is my TikTok

There isn’t anything wrong about this app, it is very intelligent about how this app can take the beats, music and voice and control the volume of every single part of the song you wanna change
  • Great drum app

Great for learning songs on the drums as you can split the songs into each instrument and adjust the volume on them all. Lower the drums to play you’re own covers or single out the drums to learn the drum part without the other instruments.
Also you can change the tempo to learn the song slower at first then speed it up when you master it. The only gripe I have is the quality of the sound is ok but not the greatest otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

  • This app is amazing!!!

Sometimes, when looking at a painting, you can isolate the individual elements. You can see each subject, the background, each individual brushstroke. But you could never really do that with music— it’s just one wave of frequencies that hit your ears. Until now. Moises harnesses the power of AI to separate the individual instruments, each part of music, into their own separate tracks. It’s truly amazing technology, that I highly recommend it to anyone who likes music. Indeed, it’s helping me learn more about how music works than any music theory class I’ve taken so far. My only issue is you have to get a subscription to fully use the service (I am so tired of passing on really cool apps because I have to pay a monthly subscription) but this time I made an exception. If they offered a lifetime cost for it that was reasonably priced, I would jump for that so fast, though I do understand they’re running a cloud service and do have maintenance costs.

  • Why Moises is second to none

I’ve been using this app over 2 yrs the last I became a premium member best move I ever did as a drummer it is the best practice and teaching tool I wish this was around 45yrs ago when I started I have a lot of original work recorded and since the passing of my singer and gtr player I thought I would never be able to perform those songs again, live or with my band mates while I was highly mistaken with the Moises app I’m able to pull her tracks out and me and my bass player right along to our original music plus as a drummer and trying to plan cover band with ship just doesn’t cut it for me to become a professional app, I’ll be able to go performed by myself and play covers and original music by I recommend spending the 40 dollars a year and get the premium membership as far as I’m concerned, this is the best app ever, cross this is a must for drummers and music teachers

  • Great potential for some applications

I was so excited about trying this app! The possibility of deconstructing the different tracks of a song offers so many possibilities for production of new mixes and instrumentalists.

For my use case, it just didn’t live up to the hype. I’m a string musician (cello), and I was hoping to strip the solo instrument to leave only the accompaniment (such as piano, other strings, and/or electronic effects). Ideally, I would love to have the solo instrument track for tempo and pitch focused practice and the accompaniment track for performance. In reality, only 2 tracks were populated (strings and all others) and neither was clean. The strings track had acceptable levels of contamination, but was missing the instrument in some areas. Maybe because the pitch range was so extreme? The accomplishment track was pretty useless. The solo was muffled, but still prominent.

I’m unsubscribing for now, but hope for improvements in the future!

Hello there! For free users, we offer 2 Track Separation (Vocals, Instrumental) and 4 Track Separation (Vocals, Drums, Bass, Other). Premium users have access to 3 Track Separation (Vocals, Backing vocals, Instrumental), 5 Track Separation (Vocals, Drums, Bass, Guitar, Other), 5 Track Separation (Vocals, Drums, Bass, Piano, Other), and 5 Track Separation (Vocals, Drums, Bass, Strings, Other). The separation quality varies depending on the file quality. Uncompressed audio like WAV works better than a compressed one like mp3. If you have other questions about the separations, you can contact our support team at help.moises.ai so we can better understand your case and help you.
  • Any song?

One of the main selling points for this app is it claims you can remove the vocals from ANY song, including those in iTunes or Apple Music. This is not true. You are given the option to import a song, but if you look down at the very bottom of the page, in tiny light gray print, it lists the supported file formats. AAC is not one of them, which is the most common format Apple uses for their music. So then, if you REALLY want to use this song, you have to find a way to convert it to one of their supported file formats. Don’t get me wrong. This app does a beautiful job of removing vocals. It’s just frustrating that I can’t convert the majority of my music. I felt the app description was very misleading.
