Great concept for a game.
First, you collect coins after levels, but the coins have ZERO meaning or value right now.
Simple solution: Let players buy skins with money. Coins could let players but a Turtle (obvious), Monkey, Moose, Robot (obvious), Spider (obvious), Postal Worker (obvious), or Cyborg-Sqirrel. Let companies pay you to put their character in your game! Toucan Sam maybe?
Second, there aren’t enough levels!
Solution: build a level generator for players. Let Players earn/buy their way into building levels.
Third: you need more obstacles and more controls. An “If/Then” switch would be good. The game is great, but it’s just too easy for a 58 year-old who took some Computer Science classes four decades ago.
Finally, you need to let players know that they have been Visually Coding, and give them some link for more resources on learning Coding and Visual Coding: books, web-sites, or other games even! Spread the love. Share the love. Kudos on the bones of an elegant, well constructed game. I look forward to Genius Moves 1.0 and beyond. —RockingJamboree
Response from developer
Dear Rocking Jamboree, Thank you so much for playing Genius Moves and for your detailed feedback and suggestions! They make a lot of sense! Yes the coins you collected will definitely be spent on something, buying characters is a great option, we just need some more time to work on it :) The idea of letting users construct their own levels is simply brilliant! Something we’ll definitely give a lot of thoughts on... Feedback like this is really valuable to us, especially at an early stage like this when we are still shaping the game. Please feel free to contact us at hello@latte.games if you have more ideas or suggestions that you would love to share. Happy making Genius Moves, Latte Games Team
