Easy ETFs to engage kids in saving
Incredibly easy “set it and forget it” way to save monthly for your kids, and to gift to others children. The accounts are custodial accounts and the products are Blackrock ETFs. There is great flex to be able to set the allocation for the child AND engage the child to select some thematic baskets like “girl power”, etc., investment themes that resonate with kids and help to teach the power of compounding. All the money is unlocked to the kid when they turn 18-21 (depending on state), along with all the memories. It is pretty effective and has helped us to save real money for our child (and cousin!).

Thoughtful Gift Giving
While I do not have children, many of my friends and have family do and I have always tried to find ways to gift more thoughtfully (never felt right about giving toys). This app has allowed me to send meaningful gifts this holiday to all of my lil nieces and nephews. The video message feature is perfect 👌🏾.

The world needs this app
When I was a kid, my parents received some cash from friends and family for me. That money went into a bank account and sat there, missing three decades of market growth. Those childhood gifts could have been so much more valuable by now if I’d had an EarlyBird account. If you’re have a child now, this should be the first thing you set up. It could help them get their first apartment, or even with a down payment on a house one day. Smart parents in 2020 need Earlybird.

The Best Gift!
I love this app and this idea. I am not getting to see my family this year and instead of sending gifts that I won’t get to give in person, I am sending videos of love and good wishes with a gift of investment in my nieces’ and nephews’ futures. My whole family is joining in and I can’t wait to see how these gifts will impact their lives someday!

This app allows me to gift in a sustainable way - no shipping materials, no plastic toys - that also happens to be meaningful. I didn’t think leaving a video for a child I love would be such an emotionally fulfilling endeavor, but it truly is, especially this holiday season when in-person gifting is not a reality for so many of us. My favorite way to gift!!
As someone whose friends are starting to have kids, I’ve spent time trying to find “meaningful” gifts that get used once maybe twice. With Earlybird my gift ends up being larger than what I can give at the moment and I get to share stories and memories that the kids will be able to look back on when they’re older. It’s a way to create a memory time capsule that I know I wish I had.
