“Open source and ad-free”?

Where have you seen the "open source and ad-free" claim? There is no such claim at the app's page in Apple Store! Yes, significant part of the content is pay-walled, and the app displays advertisements to non-subscribed users. If you don't want to pay with your money for using the app, why do you expect me to pay with my time (thus my money) for developing an app you may use for free? Making an app, is a time consuming and difficult process, and main reason for UI and other app features not being better is that this app does not generate enough revenue to allow me to focus on it exclusively - the more users subscribe, the more time I'll be able to dedicate to the app, and better it will become. That's why app subscriptions are promoted also as the way to support further development!
