Does playing an instrument have an affect on ageing?

Awesome (but waiting for improvements to Nutrition)

This app has helped me stay on track with my health goals, and it’s part of my daily routine! The only area that’s a bummer is the nutrition section. If you’re a very active female and intermittent fasting is not recommended for you, there is no way to score highly in the nutrition section since the only measure in fasting and with no focus on nutritional content. I’m looking forward to an update in that area, hopefully soon! Everything else about the app is awesome though!!

Big fan

Love this app and recommend it to friends. Wish more of data it collected was automated such that I could either tell it to automatically check that I get sunlight everyday (I know I always will) or that it checks this based on location data or something similar. In a dream world I’d pay for this app forever and hardly ever open it.

Useless

Updating my review to emphasise again how pitiful this promising app now is. The developers have ignored every question and comment from users. Apple should be removing it now from the store .

Have to agree with the many recent reviews . What was promising is now in my view useless. I’ve gone from reversing age to ageing moderately despite a substantial increase in exercise intensity and duration (although step count has reduced). Reliability and accuracy of the reports is essential - if one can’t have confidence in it, then this is useless . I now doubt the accuracy and relatability of everything to date.

Don’t waste your money!

I’ve had this app now for about 2 years and have been keeping track of all of the information generated based on my activity, mood, nutrition etc. I have always paid particular attention to my aging. I’m currently 56, will turn 57 in 2 weeks. For the past SEVERAL months my biological age as registered less than my true age as I eat right and exercise 6 days a week. For the past couple of months my biological age has been 56.2, which is about .8 less than my real age. Suddenly 2 days ago it said my biological age is 58! There has been absolutely no change in my activity, nutrition, mood or any of the other parameters used. How can this be? It’s obviously a scam. I’m about to turn 57 so they raise my biological age to keep using this piece of junk! I’m cancelling my premium membership! Buyer beware!

Not abandoned, but seems abandoned

I’m a premium subscriber and I like what’s in the app today, which is why it gets 3 stars. However, the app feels lacking in support and basic functionality. For instance, as a premium subscriber the “feedback” option is and always has been greyed out in my settings. I also can’t do simple quality of life things like add a profile picture outside of Facebook of all things in 2022. The only thing I’ve seen the team add in the last while has been simple functionality for businesses to onboard their teams. Here’s to hoping for some quality of life improvements and basic innovation for individual users sometime in the next 12 months.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback, Aaron! So the only thing I can think of is if you don't have an active email client on your device, as the feedback button action just opens up your email client with the support address pre-filled. You can send in feedback at any time by emailing feedback@humanity.health As for new functionality, there has actually been quite a bit around social features like Circles and also just added Streaks which has been a big motivation boost success for a majority of Humanity users. Make sure to add yourself to the Blood biomarker Waitlist, as we'll be adding that functionality starting with a few beta test users by New Years. Wishing you a wonderful day, Aaron!

Pretty good motivator

Would like a way to input my calories for the day can’t tell if it’ll take that info from another app. Also unless you pay the sub fee I don’t know that I’d be super thrilled about it. That being said if you decline the first offer you’ll get a half off offer shortly after you set up and it’s only 32$ CA for the year so could be way worse.

Not worth so much money

The app is good at gamifying health, however I seriously question the algorithms the scientists have put together. There’s no V02 Max calculations for example, a key indicator of fitness.

My fitness age is apparently 0.5 of my true age, yet I’ve run ultramarathons for years, I run most mornings (or bike), and I’m sure I’m fitter than many my age.

So for me, it doesn’t add up.

Great way to get practical ways in which to improve my health.

That what you can’t measure is very difficult to improve.

This app is great to track your health and provide practical ways in which you can improve it.

Loving it so far!

Paid subscription $60? No trial? One year subscription is the only option? No way!! I’m waiting.

First of all great concept, and absolutely lots of potential here. Jumping on the AI train early on gives you seniority as things expand. That said, mind you, I haven’t purchased a subscription, how am I supposed to know if this is worth paying for a full year at five dollars a month upfront without even experiencing what it has to offer in the full version?
**^^^
If the developer supposedly open to suggestions, then why at least one year later is it still an outrageous subscription fee? And why a year later are the issues that I see the same as the ones from a year before? That doesn’t sound like too many customer facing improvements are happening.

Originally, I was going to say wait until they learn their lesson and they bring their price point down or offer more subscription, options and trials. However, seeing that nothing has changed since people left the same types of reviews over a year ago… I wouldn’t hold out too much hope. That alone makes me second-guess paying $60 to use this thing for a year when the reviews are the same.
The AI train is just getting out of the station worldwide… There are going to be millions and millions of AI apps that are free and/or offer trials and levels of subscriptions or one time payment that will equal probably 1/8 of what they’re trying to charge yearly…
