Dramatic improvement!

In version 2.0 there are a huge number of improvements including up to 8 fuel tanks, selectors and very customs timers. A great app gets better!

Pretty good

I used this app while flying a Piper Arrow. While the fuel remaining wasn’t 100% accurate (i didn’t expect it to be), it got within 1gal per tank. App can still use improvements. For example I kept having to wake up my phone to see if I needed to switch because the alarm wouldn’t sound of it was off. Some sort of “keep screen alive” option like Foreflight would be amazing. Good work otherwise.

More than 2 fuel tank option would help

Great app, just upgraded to Pro and realized you only have options for up to two fuel tanks. I fly an aircraft with four fuel tanks and must have missed the details in the description. Hopefully more fuel tanks can be added soon.

Response from developer

Hi. The latest version of the app (2.0) has been fully rearchitected to support up to 7 fuel tanks and 4 engines--this means you can use it to manage fuel in just about every aircraft.

Still needs some tweaking

First, you need to have place for comments in the app so you can improve it and make it an even better tool.
Have the ability to add a number instead of scrolling which takes far too long if it’s a big number…perhaps use a slider
Increase the amount of pounds in the fuel tank size. 300 pounds is only 50 USG my tank holds 62.5.
Lastly, please allow the ability to not have to switch tanks as not all aircraft use this.
Thanks,

Disappointed

The app only supports 2 fuel tanks but you don’t really learn this until you buy it. It’s essentially useless for me for the purpose I intended, which is to track fuel in all four (or six) tanks, both in my aircraft and the other one I fly. Refund please and I will reconsider purchasing when this serious shortcoming has been addressed.

I have 4 tanks

I just spent 9.99 and it only goes up to two tanks. Come on why would you only go to two tanks. This is the whole reason someone would buy your app. Can I get a refund ?

Response from developer

The app currently supports up to 2 tanks. I regularly hear from users that have aircraft with more than 2 tanks that still find the app useful--receiving reminders to switch tanks and showing the estimated endurance, combined tank totals, etc.. That said, I'm actively working to support more than 2 tanks--as you can imagine, there are many different possible tank configurations that need to be tested. Support questions are welcome at https://skytimer.app--and it's always helpful to hear details on specific fuel tank configurations so those can be taken into account.

Love it

I love this app so far, but can there be some setting to always start a trip with full tanks or a predetermined amount? There’s a lot of clicks/scrolling on my watch to get it started

Response from developer

Hi, Mick. You can turn on "Rollover Fuel" within the settings of the app. When starting a new trip, that will prepopulate the fuel that was estimated at the end of the last trip. I'll also be adding functionality in an upcoming version to allow you to define a standard starting fuel amount to easily toggle to that.

Great

App works great for timing my flight for logbook and keeping track of fuel remaining
Wonderful tech support also!
