Needs to be on all phones

Can you please make I so it works on iphone 13 mini because ein tryin to make a game of my room a d I can't do it without this app so if you can please do if you can then thanks (please write back of what you can do)

Hi KTBoy813. Unfortunately, SiteScape specifically makes use of the LiDAR sensor unit that's only on certain iPhone / iPad models. An iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max has this sensor, but an iPhone 13 or 13 mini does not. Compatible devices include all iPhone Pro and Pro Max models since iPhone 12 Pro, and all iPad Pro models since 2020. We hope you understand and sorry we cannot be of more help!

Newest iPhone

Try to open, and a screen pops up saying that the app is only compatible with the newest phones and iOS.
Only problem is that I have an iPhone15, and just did an update 2 days ago.
1 star rating and deleting.

Hi Stylzz17. SiteScape makes use of the LiDAR sensor on certain iPhone / iPad models. An iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max has this sensor, but an iPhone 15 does not. Compatible devices include all iPhone Pro and Pro Max models since iPhone 12 Pro, and all iPad Pro models since 2020. Unfortunately Apple does not currently allow developers to restrict app downloads based on having the LiDAR sensor on your device. We have submitted several requests to Apple to add LIDAR as a compatibility flag so users can be informed of this requirement before downloading. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!

Can’t do anything unless you “sign up”

I wanted to see if this 3D scanner app can take a good scan. I want to test that by doing a couple scans and then exporting the point clouds to my desktop for processing and analysis. But even the most basic functionality requires me to give up personal information for free by signing up for an account with some cloud thing.

Either let me try out your app for free, or don’t.

Hello Kerbangoz, we're sorry you feel this way. The only free feature that requires a free SiteScape account is exporting but this can be created in under a minute and you can have the account + all account data deleted at any time by sending a request to hi@sitescape.ai. We hope you understand and hope you get a chance to explore scan data from the app!

Great app with a stupid cost of subscription

Very nice app but to do anything useful needs a £50 per month sub. Stupidly high price.
Check 3dScanner as a slightly less featured but free alternative.

You can save and export an unlimited number of scans with a free account and the SiteScape Pro subscription is only for users that would like store scans in the SiteScape Cloud or leverage the new photo annotations feature (both of which are optional). Continuosly crashes on opening

Even after uninstall and reinstall the app crashes. This devices has very minimal apps and a lot of space. Other companies open and work fine. App is up todate and I don’t usually complain just this used to be so good I would of done 5 before.

Please try version 1.7.4 which fixes a crash some users have experienced when opening the app while in Airplane mode. Feel free to send a note to hi@sitescape.ai with any additional issues!

Scanning works fine, too easy to delete scans

Scanning works well, it’s just way to easy to accidentally delete scans and there is no way to recover recently deleted scans. At $50/month that’s unacceptable. They should sync to the cloud automatically but don’t since you have to use the cloud portion to get useful results anyway.

Don’t buy! Snake oil

The measurement of the interior of a small house is off as much as more than a foot! Not to mention the interface is very clumsy. Somebody made a half-hearted effort, put it in the App Store, and charge as much as $50 a month for it? This is snake oil!

Deceptive about what’s actually available for free

Wasn’t able to be useful as you are limited to much smaller scans than they show in the gallery unless you are willing to buy subscription. Couldn’t tell you how good it is because I couldn’t make use of it in the way it was advertised. I’ve now wasted 30 min of my life and they should pay me for it or be dumped from the store. Disgusted

Hi Drew, we are sad to hear you feel this way. We advertise that the free version can capture up to 500 sqft and Pro can capture up to 5,000 sqft with multi-scan, which requires the SiteScape web app. We have this limit as scanning larger areas at once accumulates drift and significantly reduces scan accuracy. That said, Pro is always optional! If the subscription does not work for you and you need accurate scans of larger areas, we have a full walkthrough on our YouTube channel showing how you can do this with the free program, CloudCompare.
