The backup and synchronization with your iCloud is automatic. There are 3 score levels by selecting the same item several times - List item in light gray => exhaustive list - Item from the list in black => item to buy - Element in light gray and checked => element purchased Drag an item to the left to delete it or to the right to add or modify a category.
