Reviews of Montana Fly Picker

  • MT Fly Picker

This app is a great resource! The quick link to stream flows is a must use and the overall layout is user friendly. This app should really take off once more users get involved!
  • Convenient!!

As a female fly fisher, it can be stressful getting started on your own. This app gives me the confidence to be able to find everything I need from flies and fly size, current water flows, and public access points! It even brings you to the local fly shop based on where you are when you open the app! Fun fact: It’s illegal for unmarried women to fish in Montana & married women aren’t allowed to fish on Sundays!! These are of course the old goofy laws of the past 😆but funny still that they ever existed!
  • Not worth the money

Honestly this app is not worth the $4.99 a month subscription. Everything that they have on the app you can look at free on the internet. And their flow data just sends you to USGS Stream Flows web site.

    Developer Response

Hi there. I'm sorry you don't find the app useful. While everything can be found online, the beauty of this app is that it's all in one place, and a person doesn't have to search through multiple fishing reports on multiple web sites. I've done that for you, and I spend a great deal of time doing it! It's meant to be convenient. Regarding the stream access, it was updated in May to break out each individual river location's, flow. It's still a link, but doesn't require you to search. Just click the river you want to check. I think possibly you reviewed it before that update. Thanks for checking it out though and I appreciate the feedback.
