Beatiful sounds -Easy Access

Great idea, needs more polishing

This app could make a great replacement to my relaxation music playlists with a bit of tweaking. For some sounds, I would've prefered to use longer, smoother blended and calmer loops.

Response from developer

Hi there! Thanks a lot for the great review, I'm really happy you're enjoying it. Could you tell me which sounds you feel could have been calmer?

Love It!!

now i can finally drown out THe noise with my preferred brand of noise

thank you so much for the review!

Very Pretty and a Great Start

The app icon is gorgeous and what got me to choose this app. I really like the aesthetic, and the app is well designed. I like the sounds presented. Here are my recommendations:

- It would be nice if the app opened when I click the icon in the dock. Even if the app is in the menu bar. (Not sure if that's possible, but the icon is so pretty I just want to see it and have it be useful).

- The "play until" analog clock is hard to use. Should be a simple digital clock with up and down buttons for hour and minute for how long you want the sound to play.

- Should be able to hide the pomodoro section if not in use. (I'm only using this for the sounds).

- Personally I would replace the emoji in the menu bar with the pretty lotus icon. :)

Thank you for this very aesthetic, beautiful sound app.

Hi there ii_hito! Thank you so much for the lovely review. Most of the feedback topics you mentioned are coming with the next release! I've just submitted a new version, so keep your eyes on the update page! Have a happy new year and thank you for contributing!

Best App for focus work

App has a large selection of different backround noises evidence-based proven to optimize your state of hyperfocus when completing tasks/work for people who find it hard to work in complete silence/easily gets distracted where the type of background lyric-less continual noises will fill in the silence and mask over any distractions. I have horrible inattentive-type ADD while I also work as a physician where a high productivity rate is essential for time & task efficiency when daily duties >> # of hours in the day - so efficiency is vital for career success. The more you use this app, with time it becomes easier for an ADD-type professional to enter into the hyperfocus state and build up discipline and endurance to remain in this state: you meet project/task deadlines, finish assigned daily tasks, thoroughness with the quality of your work ultimately optimizing your overall performance for career advancemet, work recognition, and success.

Nicely designed and really easy to use. Good selection of high quality sounds.

Hello 1zzzhang, thank you so much for the nice review! I'm also working on the iOS version which will have a very similar feel, and the best part, you won't have to pay extra for it as it will come bundled with your macOS purchase. Enjoy your time with Flow!

Samples are way too short

The coffee shop sample seems to be on a 20 second loop. A door slams and then someone says "No thank you, Maggie" on a disturbingly regular cadence. More distracting than having no sound at all!

Response from developer

Hello tastapod, thank you so much for your feedback and I completely agree. The coffee shop sound was the first one I’ve replaced with a much better one (where Maggie wasn’t around), that also sounds spatial and the loop is not noticeable at all. Stay tuned for the huge update coming up in a couple of days

Loops are very short

Unistalled after 5minutes - The loop of the sounds are very short and I started predicting them after a couple minutes very distracting!

Hello Michael! First of all thanks a lot for the initial purchase. I've just released a much improved version of the app. All the sounds have been replaced with longer, better versions. And I made sure there are no more distractions in them. Would be very thankful if you gave the app another shot and gave me some feedback!

I expected something better

I was expecting better from an app that was rated 4.6 stars. I like noise apps with sounds of cafes, construction sites, busy terminals, etc. for working. You hear people talking, but you cannot make out what they're saying, which is ideal because then the talking isn't distracting. The problem is when you can make out what they're saying, because it makes the repetition of the loop so obvious, especially when it's so short like in this app (20 seconds). Next thing you know you're waiting to hear that notification sound in the background and then "no thank you Manny...", instead of focusing on your work. So it defeats the purpose of listening in the first place.

Hello Boslaw! First of all thanks a lot for the initial purchase. I've just released a much improved version of the app. All the sounds have been replaced with longer, better versions - Manny has left the building. And I made sure there are no more distractions in them. Would be very thankful if you gave the app another shot and gave me some feedback!

Clean interface, but sorely lacking

I like the simplicity of this app but that is also its shortcoming. Has four tracks, but the coffee shop track is practically a track of what I'd use this app to avoid, hearing "No thank you Manny... We have some people who come in every day..." every 30-40 seconds especially ruins it. Would love more tracks of rain/ocean/forest sounds or white/grey noise and the option to mix them. Will have to look for another option, as mynoise.net still has a leg up.

Thank you very much for your honest, and to be fair, very accurate review! The good side, though, is that after seeing so much interest for this type of app, I've already started (and close to finished) working on a more mature version of Flow, with Β±20 sounds, updated old sounds, and some cool new features - all while keeping everything simple and straightforward. Keep in touch with your updates section!
