Please fix bug ASAP - iPhone app

You cannot add a food until you type in the name of the food. But when you do, the onscreen keyboard covers the bottom half of the screen and it does not allow scrolling so you can’t actually add the food item.

Hi

I’m writing a review because I want people to know how good this app is not many people reviewed this but it is so so good. I don’t think I would ever want to change this app. It is absolutely perfect as a younger person. I do not have the money, to pay for this app so I use it completes without any purchases and I don’t think I would like to because even without it it is so so good it’s so good for tracking so good for making sure you drink enough water I love this app and as someone who is has coeliac disease it is never been easier to track my diet which can be hard when I have dietary needs. I’m also low in iron and this is so good for my dietician to track. I would 100% recommend us to anyone. I hope you can get this up.

Thank you so much for your review! We’re so happy to hear that it’s been so helpful for you! 🙏

AMAZING APP!

I think this is a really great idea and you have executed it perfectly! Well done! One suggestion thought can you make it so we can change it from oz to ml? Love this app, use it daily

Good idea

It’s a good app. I love that I can take pictures and sort the food groups etc I’m not keeping it simply because I can’t share my journal. I am journaling as part of a program and I need to share it with my coach. If you put a “share” option I’ll download it again and subscribe.

Great app, but one catch…

I love the simplicity of it. It’s been helping me eat more regularly, consistently, and balanced through a difficult schedule and lots of anxiety. If it were a one time purchase I’d have bought it very quickly. I don’t like subscription models. So I haven’t. But then I found that you can’t even view your historical entries without a subscription. So that made it in that you pretty much have go buy the paid version. Which IMO is kind of a sleazy way to sell it to you. Sigh. I’m probably going to do it because it’s the best I’ve found for simplicity but yeah would expect more from a paid version.

The only actual change I would make is the ability to track numbers of the food groups. Eg, checking “carb” is helpful from the sense of evaluating, but as I get going I’m going to need to think okay, this was 2 servings of carbs and I’ve only had one serving of protein. I think you could get around that by entering every unit in separately…I will try. For example, if I put in spaghetti and check carb, that doesn’t give me an idea of how much carb.

Simple Tracking App

I love the simplicity of the app. There is nothing overwhelming that would cause you to spend more time than needed in the App. This is important because if you’ve struggled with your relationship with food, there are not too many things that could steer you to a dark place. Simply take a picture and assess the food groups you’ve eaten. While I wish there was one for dessert, I use the “other” category in its place. Premium is affordable and I hope with updates it doesn’t become overwhelming like some of the others. The journal is very basic to write your thoughts for the day.

Requires login account & your data is stored in cloud

Note: this is NOT an app functionality review Rather, it’s only about critical data handling / privacy. (I had to choose a star rating but that’s irrelevant so I chose a middle 3 stars.)

Read the privacy policy and it says all user data is stored in a cloud database. You can’t use this app with data stored locally only.

Policy says this is for web and app utility. Seems if you don’t want web data access, you can’t choose for local phone app only data handling.

In line with that requirement, a login account with name and email is required.

So, if you want a simple food logging app where your data stays local and login credentials aren’t required, this is not the one.

Response from developer

Hey Cliffy Thank you for reaching out we really take security seriously and all data is encrypted as mentioned in our policy. However we really do appreciate the feedback that our users want a local only option and we plan on incorporating this in a future release / possibly going local only if there is enough desire for it. However we want to make it clear regardless that we do take your security and privacy very seriously and if you have questions you’re always welcome to email us.

Only one complaint

I love this app the only thing I wish you guys could change is to make it so we can add the ingredients to the things we list, for example where it says fruits, dairy, etc I wish it would also have the option for other notes on the food, that’s it thank you for taking the time to read this

Good but…

Love how simple this app is but I wish there were more options for types of food, for example, “dessert” or “grains”. When I have cacao powder I feel weird classifying that as a carb but don’t know how else to categorize it. It would also be nice to track if I took my vitamins for the day. There should be a “title” for the meal I ate and then a description below so that I can describe the ingredients. That would be really helpful!

Great App.

Very easy track my meals, was great as I wanted to go on a diet and this app made it easier for me. I could track my water intake and calorie intake. Loved it!
