Abysmal

Honestly this is terrible. Have had for a few months but after latest update device is completely unusable. Won’t recognize or pair to app. Will be calling and asking for $ back. DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS. If you did take them back. Much better products out there.

App update doesn’t work

It worked fine until this latest app update. Now it asks me to log in again but doesn’t recognize my password. When I try to reset my password it says “internet error” and does nothing . How am I suppose to turn on my lights? I’m totally stuck with lights I can’t turn on.

Super buggy. Come on guys.

App is *operable* but only with a lot of patience.

Timer is not reliable due to necessity of active bluetooth connection (apparently Novolink thinks people are going to sit their phones in BT range of the lights during the entirety of whatever timer you have set). Since update color settings are terribly buggy and aren’t holding across themes. Setting colors is also very buggy, inconsistent, and takes massive amounts of fiddling to get right.

I will also reiterate other commenters that have noted the dimness of the lights. This is not an absolute fail but you need to be aware that these are only useful for accent lighting.

Happy to revise this review if corrections are made. If the app was more functional this could be a good product 👍

Doesn’t work

Ever since the new update the lights won’t connect to the app. I’ve tried multiple times to reset them, but to no avail. I now have to manually turn the lights on/off, and am unable to change the colors. Loved them at first, but now I am disappointed.

Great product and app

There are a lot of options but the app is relatively easy to use. The timer setting is great once it is set. Make sure the Bluetooth is connected when setting up otherwise the lights do not pick up the changes.

What a fail.

I can’t believe we can only setup these lights on one phone. That’s ridiculous!

PLEASE READ the EULA

First of all, the directions to use these lights don’t match the actual setup. Down the app for your OS, connect the lights, yada, yada. When you open the app, it assumes you already have an account! Why do I need an account to hook to lights? After I clicked enough buttons, I was finally able to get to a spot to create an account. Accept the End User License Agreement. Hmmmm, let’s take a look. They’re collection all kinds of personal information. Name, age, sex, DOB. This is all information that people can be used for identity theft. Next, if you share anything to someone else, they will collect their information as well. I’m not a tinfoil wearing conspiracy theorist but why do they need that information. Honestly, after I got the lights out and plugged them in they reminded me of a sad set of LED Christmas lights. For what I paid, they’re going back tonight.

Not bad

The app interface feels childish with bad stock images and icons. Setting the colors is nice and easy, but not very responsive. The timer is horrid! They never come on, or turn off, at the time they were set for. Sometimes up to an hour late, if at all. There’s no way to set the current time, so I assume it just reads from the phone, but I would expect it to be 100% accurate. Which it’s not.

Stupid little app won’t even let you create an account. I guess these are going back first thing tomorrow. Great job novolink.

Turn on

If you have an Android make sure you turn on Location and Bluetooth if you cannot find the lights in the app. Same goes for IOS
