  • Bare Bones product at luxury prices

My Apple Watch cost about the same as the kit that uses this app. The watch can play music, set and and sound alarms and timers, call my wife, give health warnings based on pretty accurate biometrics, display photos of loved ones (or mortal enemies if I need motivation), open and close my garage door, act as a calculator, and the list goes on. This app controls water temperature, can test for salt, but not any of the water chemistry that the IQ system monitors on its on board display. It can turn on the lights but can’t control the colors. Other limitations are listed in other reviews. I think my point is made. This app only gives its companion unit a value in the neighborhood of $100-$150. Because it is in the category of “Hot Tub” they sell the unit at an 8x mark up. Shameful.

  • Poor

Can’t program temp up and down on a daily profile. Can’t see water iq system other than salt. Can’t choose color of lights or intensity. Can’t see life of salt system or iq system remaining. Laggy. These should be easy fixes. Cmon. Do better.
  • Ready for more

Hot Springs/Watkins: Please add viewing of water IQ info on app.. for what we pay for this it should be an option. Clean cycle via app would also be nice . Next update ????

  • Need more info

Can’t see the Water IQ info PH Chlorine salt level like it shows on spa display. Would be nice when away to keep up with water condition.
  • A step backwards

The previous app used to work very well, hardly an issue and was very clear and easy to use. The new one is so different, it’s slow and very hit and miss. Sometimes you tell it to do something and the app confirms it, but nothing happens on the tub, ie switching on/off lights, adjusting temperatures, etc. Also, I don’t know if it’s coincidental but now every time I use the Bluetooth feature I have to re-pair my phone, I can’t just use the existing device from the list on my phone.
It also signs me out constantly and have to put my details back in (name and password).
The temperature setting is fiddly to use and is a lot slower than the old one.
This is typical of a lot of companies these days ‘improving things’, but in reality making them a whole lot worse - why??

  • Good app, wish you can change the light color though

You cannot change the light color in the app. Can you please add this to the app? Also would be nice to open up the interfaces so we can easily control with home automation like home assistant or apple homekit. I just got the salt freshwaterIQ system on my 2024 Limelight Pulse. However, I cannot view the information it provides, on the app. Can you also add that spa accessory? Thanks for listening!

  • $800 and functionality is bare minimum

App is free, but you can’t use it unless you’ve installed a kit, only purchased and installed through a dealer that will cost, installed, over $800. I was exited to hear that this kit was available, as I just installed a solar system and need to reduce my energy usage between 4-9pm. The “summer timer” is an 8 hour block, take it or leave it (was not intended to use for energy savings purpose, but rather safety to ensure spa doesn’t get too hot when sun is beating down on it.) This app really misses the mark.

    • No HomeKit compatibility (or any smart home system connectivity whatsoever.)
    • No ability to time any kind of event (don’t heat between 4-9pm)
    • no way to start a clean cycle
    • no way to program the lighting moods, or change lighting color.
    • no dashboard to monitor things like when it’s time to replace the water, or clean filters.
    • no calculator, pre-populated with your model’s gallon capacity, to help you properly dose chemicals based on usage activity

Hot Springs really needs to reconsider the software developer they chose to partner with to get this done. Why spend $800 if I can’t even automate such a basic thing - like turn off for 5 hours every day at this time?

  • Does the job, falls short in some areas

The app provides the basics such as:
    Set water temperature
    Turn on/off jets
    Turn on/off lights

    Here's where it falls short:
Does not provide notification if the water temperature is dropping (For those of us in cold weather climate this is a major missing element)
Though you can turn on the lights, you cannot set the color
Notifications can be emailed or seen in the app. No option for texting.
The app should present a dashboard of potential issues such low temperature, filters need cleaning, slat system offline….

  • Basic functions and monitoring are great

Nice to be able to run basic things and monitor conditions from the app without having to go to the outside panel. Would love to see a version available on Apple Watch. Also would be great to be able to toggle the light colors on the app as well as run a clean cycle. Thanks!
