Historical issues now messing with it

Since the latest upgrade the main screen keeps timing out trying to download older episodes, failing, and slowing down operation. Please introduce a setting to control old issue download

Hopeless

I click on a link to a story and this app takes me to the previous story I have read. This is a fundamental fail.

Gone backwards

Iโ€™ve given it a few weeks now but Iโ€™m sad to say that this new version of the app is a backward step. Despite having closed all background apps and often rebooting my iPad, it is painfully slow to load and Iโ€™m on a good, fast connection. It usually takes three or four tries before it loads which is frustrating. I could read the old version without having to resort to zooming in, now I have to zoom in on every page as the image is so small. Iโ€™ll be going back to reading it on the web.

No problem, when you open the Today's Paper section, please scroll down a little until you see the most recent Panorama edition which is from the 5th of December. The next edition will be published tomorrow on the 12th and will appear at the top next to the "allhomes" edition. Should you require any assistance, please reach out to our Customer Service Team via subscriptionsupport@austcommunitymedia.com.au Thank you.

Unable to connect

Iโ€™m on a cruise ship off the Queensland coast and have not been able to access the Canberra Times.

A much better experience

This is a better performing app than before. While itโ€™s not as rich, it removes the previous irritating feature where an attempt to scroll through a story before the top advert had loaded resulted in a swipe to the next article. Irony was that the offending advert was never seen!

Very touchy operation

Slow to load. Three or four attempts required. Very sensitive to touch which can be frustrating. As my eyes are failing, I like the ability to get an enlarged version of an article.

I believe it is an improvement but with the reservations above.

Hi Subscriber, Please ensure all your background App are closed and your device is updated to the latest operating system. Use the fingers to pinch and stretch to zoom in and out of the E-edition. A single tap on the article will allow a more refined view of that article has been implemented on the new app. Feel free to contact the support team on 1300 131 095 Option 2 for further assistance .

New online CT

I donโ€™t find the new format easier to read. More work is needed.

Not very user-friendly for an oldie

I got fed up with missed hard copy deliveries but do miss being able to pick up the paper and keep bits that I wanted to read later. I find the app very difficult to negotiate - and the pages and pages of ads are more annoying online than in the hard copy. Wish I could delete them from the start.

Upgrade is a downgrade

Whoever thought the latest upgrade was an improvement? Far from easier to navigate reading todayโ€™s paper, if you expand a page more than slightly youโ€™re back to a list of pages without even knowing what page you were on.

Pay for mediocre news

Just like their web site you now have to pay to see news articles that at best are mediocre and poorly reported
