Boox - great devices, illogical software
So I have a couple of Boox devices, they’re great. But their syncing solutions are just plain weird as it stands… I keep all my books in a OneDrive folder. Every time I annotate or bookmark those books, instead of saving those back to my OneDrive, Boox copies them to its own cloud. The annotations / bookmarks / statistics then appear only in Boox’ own substandard app.
And it’s not even very smart - if I move a book to a different folder, those associated notes are lost. The app is poor. Notes is stuck syncing more often than not. And even in list mode with the lowest text size in iOS settings, you can’t read more than a few words of the book title.

Absolute rubish
Can’t push files into the device using the apps, I tried everything, updating,desinstalling and reinstalling, push many time. It’s so complex to use that I regret the purchase in the first place.
PLEASE add option to read in-app!!!
This would immediately be my favorite app on my phone if I could read epubs in the app. THEN sync the reading position to my boox library!!!
I love to read on my boox device and then pick up where I left off on my phone. Currently I use libby to do this.
If the feature were added I would be able to completely commit to a Boox ecosystem and enjoy all the features I need natively!

Simple enough app
I had an issue getting a code sent to my email, but when I tried my phone number it worked. No major issues logging in as the others described.
Not intuitive.
I understand security and simple instructions but the log-in process was intolerable and I still haven’t managed it. So I gave up. I don’t really need the app so I wasn’t fully motivated. If the log in process is not intuitive then you will loose customers and, frankly, I wasn’t keen to give away my phone and email details.

Can’t Log In
I enter my login info and the spinning circle keeps spinning. I never get a code.
Bugs
Lots of bugs found.
This is the only app for Boox device, leaving me no choice and bugs make it impossible to work.
- Shows blank pages in my notes, but the content is the if I export to pdf
- when logging to server, text message or email verification requires security check ( the slide ) which freezes
- once you start some processes (eg. login, document export or sign) there is no way to cancel it, you need to wait until the process completes
- after exporting the document it tells you it has been stored in the file system /var/something, what is useless in apple devices as file system is not accessible. After you click OK, you can then share it to external applications.

fails to send code to phone during registration
i had to try email before it worked.
App does not sync
Unfortunately no matter how many times I attempt to sync my notes with the app, the pages always transfer as blank. The app works great to transfer documents from your phone to your BOOX device, but transferring in the opposite direction does not seem to work. Would definitely give a better rating if the other half of the app actually functioned as advertised.

Good app need to respect screen orientation for notes
Not possible to lock notes view into landscape mode even if the orientation is locked on iPad. Need to fix this.
