The custom acupressure protocol is completed with lifestyle and dietary recommendations, allowing you to live well and care for your health with ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the comfort of your own home.   The Power of Qi and Meridians   In Traditional Chinese Medicine, your body houses a network of meridians — channels guiding the flow of your life force energy Qi. Imbalance or blockage in meridians may result in illness or pains. Acupressure is a form of needleless acupuncture with similiarities to shiatsu and reflexology. By stimulating key acupuncture points along these meridians, you unblock meridians and balance your energies and promote holistic wellness and healthy living with a natural remedy.   Bringing ancient Chinese self-healing practices to you, Moxa offers unique features:   - Over 2000 acupuncture points - Over 150 guided relaxing acupressure sessions - Infinite personalization based on your diagnosis - An educational platform for learning fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine, meridians, and acupuncture points   Sessions include: - Sleep issues: insomnia - Allergies - Stress - Chronic Pains - Migraines and Headaches - Fertility - Anxiety - Immune support - Women’s issues - Men’s issues   Pricing and Subscription Terms   Moxa offers an auto-renewing yearly holistic TCM wellness subscription at $59.99/year to provide you with unlimited access to the app. Payments are charged to your iTunes Account at the initial purchase confirmation. Moxa offers a seven day free trial of the app. The trial is managed by Apple through the iTunes subscription center. Your trial will be converted to a full holistic TCM wellness subscription at the end of 7 days.   Your holistic TCM wellness subscription will auto-renew unless turned off at least 24-hours before the current period ends. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited upon purchase, where applicable.   Please read our terms and conditions here: Terms of service: https://moxa.care/terms-and-conditions Privacy policy: https://moxa.care/privacy-policy   Begin your self-care journey to natural health and wellness with Moxa. • I loved this app until it stopped working

I’m posting this review in hopes that the developers will see it (and also to warn new users), I am concerned that they haven’t updated the app in almost 1 year, and also have stopped replying to reviews around that time, too. Anyway, I am a paid user but am currently unable to login and use the app. I tried repeatedly with my old password, then tried reseting my password and nothing has worked.

Full context: I updated the app on one of my devices and it logged me out. When I tried to log back in it said “Oops something went wrong, please try again” and I did repeatedly to no avail. I knew the password was correct because it was autofilled. (plus, I even experimented with an old password and that gives an actual “wrong password” error message) I then tried resetting my password on another device and still got the same message. I was still logged in to one of my other devices—but now that has also been logged out and I am getting the same error. 🫠 If things persist I will not be renewing my membership and may consider filing for a refund. I’m very sad about this because this was one of my favorite apps! 😞

Update to my review: I searched online and see that Moxa was acquired by a company called Symposia Group in Singapore around the time this app stopped being updated or maintained (mid-late 2023).

Also, I have tried emailing them and have not heard back in almost a week.

  • Fails to consider menopause

While this app has great potential, it utterly fails to consider the possibility that a woman could be in menopause. The app’s questions to create a customized program for a woman require answering questions that are not applicable (heaviness of menstruation, menstruation symptoms). There is no option not to answer these questions. This causes the user to make up answers and creates a risk of inaccurate acupressure recommendations.
