  • I loved this app until it stopped working

    I’m posting this review in hopes that the developers will see it (and also to warn new users), I am concerned that they haven’t updated the app in almost 1 year, and also have stopped replying to reviews around that time, too. Anyway, I am a paid user but am currently unable to login and use the app. I tried repeatedly with my old password, then tried reseting my password and nothing has worked.

    Full context: I updated the app on one of my devices and it logged me out. When I tried to log back in it said “Oops something went wrong, please try again” and I did repeatedly to no avail. I knew the password was correct because it was autofilled. (plus, I even experimented with an old password and that gives an actual “wrong password” error message) I then tried resetting my password on another device and still got the same message. I was still logged in to one of my other devices—but now that has also been logged out and I am getting the same error. 🫠 If things persist I will not be renewing my membership and may consider filing for a refund. I’m very sad about this because this was one of my favorite apps! 😞

    Update to my review: I searched online and see that Moxa was acquired by a company called Symposia Group in Singapore around the time this app stopped being updated or maintained (mid-late 2023).

    Also, I have tried emailing them and have not heard back in almost a week.

  • Fails to consider menopause

    While this app has great potential, it utterly fails to consider the possibility that a woman could be in menopause. The app’s questions to create a customized program for a woman require answering questions that are not applicable (heaviness of menstruation, menstruation symptoms). There is no option not to answer these questions. This causes the user to make up answers and creates a risk of inaccurate acupressure recommendations.

  • Glitchy

    The sessions are easy to follow and I believe in acupressure. The app is just too glitchy to justify the subscription price. Audio doesn’t match up with the images in half of my sessions, and there are typos and bugs everywhere. Sometimes the music just doesn’t play.
  • Honest & Sincere

    I have been struggling with locating someone in Eastern medicine to help me that did not want a lot of money. I just didn’t have that kind of money w/ inflation and all. The Moxa app with its specialists are sincere, smart and affordable. GO TEAM MOXA!
  • Try it! Traditional Chinese Medicine in the 21st Century!

    I can’t really describe how thankful I am for this incredible application! The way that it was designed to create a personalized custom acupressure session (w/ meditative music) is like nothing else we have available in this modern age, as it brings the healing magic of Traditional Chinese medicine right to your pocket!
    I had been going through really bad digestion, bloating, constipation, stress and anxiety issues when I found this app about a month ago, and not only are my symptoms gone, but I feel so much more vital and balanced within my body. Not to mention, I have gained a deeper understanding of what is ACTUALLY happening with yin/yang forces and the elements within my chi-energy field/organ systems/meridians within my body as well.
    The benefits are truly endless along side the caring, attentive Katie and Alan who are so responsive to any concerns you may have. I truly cannot recommend this app enough! And it’s only going to get better!

    This is truly an amazing app. It has helped with stress relief and health. It’s personalized to my needs and also includes education. Highly recommend this app
  • Great acupressure program

    I’ve been loving this app so far. It’s very well designed app. The routines are explained and can help walk you through acupressure with no previous knowledge. My personal favorite so far is the trouble falling asleep routine. Right after doing it I feel extremely relaxed and ready for bed. I’m looking forward to making this a part of my daily routine
