Useless
Having used the app now since March, I think it’s potential is brilliant but the execution is totally useless, needs updating to keep phone connected and speak to bikers who know what apps should be used!
Great idea but, sadly, useless
Firstly - I absolutely love my GSX-S1000GT. Nothing beats it. But the mySPIN app is useless:
1. It takes over your phone via Wi-Fi so you can no longer use it
2. The mapping apps you want - Google Maps, MyRoute, Calimoto etc aren’t available
The connection drops occasionally
Buy an Evotech phone mount that can puts your phone above the TFT & off you go

Limited Choice of apps/unreliable
Having used the app for a few weeks now I am rather disappointed at how often the connection with my iPhone is lost. Essentially this renders the pretty useless. I don’t want to make calls when riding my bike but had high hopes for the option to display navigation on the bike’s screen. Apart from the unreliable connection already mentioned the choice of navigation apps is poor not giving obvious options such as Google or Apple maps, Calimoto etc. Such a shame that I will have to resort to mounting my phone again to get satnav.
