  • Wish they advertised it's a pay to use app

Deleted shortly after downloaded. As a SAHM I unfortunately am on a strict budget don't go out to eat and make everything from scratch. Follow MLFC on Instagram and this came up on my advisement feed. I thought just like her website it would have the free recipes. Wrongly mistaken I like to get inspiration but I can't justify paying a subscription for something I won't be able to use all the recipes for. UPDATE: I read the whole description and it doesn't state it's a monthly subscription. I only found out when I downloaded the app. And I when originally mentioned that I was referring to the ad I saw on Instagram to download the app. Or would have been nice to know ahead of time, so I could consider if I would have wanted it rather then be surprised that I literally couldn't do anything unless I upgraded in the app. Like there was no free trial to see if it would be something I would like to have a subscription to 😔. I am guessing the description they were referring to was the other app on the "free" on saying a monthly subscription but that is misleading because it makes it seem like there's a free app when it doesn't allow you do to anything but upgrade to the subscription 😕

    Developer Response

Hi Rielebell, It is clear in the description of the app that it is a month by month subscription. We have worked hard to price the app very reasonably to make it accessible for everyone. It compares favourably with the cost of a cookbook, considering that the app gets new content weekly yet a cookbook does not. The app subscriptions allow us to produce the free content that you have seen and enjoyed on the instagram page and website.
  • HANDS DOWN AMAZING!

I have been struggling recently to find good recipes for my daughter who is 11 months old. She loves to eat everything under the sun so I wanted new and refreshing recipes! This app had everything (from allergy filters, shopping lists, adding recipes to my favorites & videos) that I can’t rave about it enough! Except wait, there are new recipes added every week! Gives me so much peace of mind now that I don’t have to think up recipes alone!

  • Doesn’t advertise Pricing.

Would be nice if Instagram posts indicated it’s a paid subscription. Customer service responses also seem to be very snippy to bad reviews on this topic. You can tell me it’s detailed in the App Store all you want, I guarantee everyone who complained like me downloaded straight from the search screen, excited to find something that might be useful for struggling moms. You do you, I’ll do me. I can’t justify another subscription without any samples, and going eight different places to find said samples is a waste of time. Hopefully you can take some of these reviews to heart, instead of flippantly trying to “educate”. It comes across as rude and unprofessional.

  • SO USEFUL amazing for busy mums!

The recipes are so yummy, simple and of course ‘clean’- not too much sugar etc! Absolutely perfect for any mum who wants the best for their children. I am pleasantly surprised by the other sections too such as guide to buying clothes and the exercise by Caroline Pearce! It’s a really wholesome app. I’m so glad I bought it, it’ll help me pick up amazing tips and tricks! I have a 6 month old baby boy, who I had premature and becoming a mother again has been tough but My Little Food Critic has inspired me so much in getting me out of a baby ‘rut’ and I’m slowly starting to wean so I’ll be testing lots of the recipes!! x

  • Highly recommend!

I downloaded the app recently and I’m so glad I did! The recipes are amazing! I have been referring to it a lot for breakfasts and snacks, and all have been toddler and adult approved in my home. I really appreciate the simple ingredients that you need for the wholesome and healthy dishes. Recipes are easy to follow and the dishes don’t take long to put together. Highly recommend!

  • Buy it buy it buy it!

I’ve used a lot of different recipe guides in the last year since my daughter started solids. They all cost $20-50 per book, so $1.50/mo should not be a deal breaker even for you to try it out then cancel.. The recipes are easy, photos are beautiful, steps tab is very convenient and easy to follow. An absolute must on my phone now!

  • MOMS THIS IS A MUST HAVE!!!

This app is incredible!!! Meal planning is the bane of my existence. Trying to come up with new recipes and ideas to make sure my kids are being exposed to different foods is a headache. Rainy days I can never come up with a good indoor activity idea. This app is FULL of amazing recipes, resources and ideas!!! Now I literally just go on the app and scroll through to pick out meals for the week. Everything is so easy and simple and kid friendly. Wish I could give 10 stars!!!

  • Perfect for BlW and first time parents

As a first time parent i was lost when it came to solids and didn't want to sign up for the food delivery services so this was perfect for me l. Food is easy to make and always comes out like the pictures. There are so many options and all the options are far from bland. The best part is that it actually taste good to the point that i could eat as well!

  • Great Resource!

I don’t normally put money into apps, but this app has been great for my family when meals are concerned! I love that you can easily choose between different allergy and dietary needs. These recipes are yummy, quick and can be doubled or tripled for easy food storage. The app has a great search system and is organized so that you can find recipes quickly. Very clear and easy to understand. Love it!!
