  • Scummy Business Practice

    I spent $80 on this a year ago and now that the app is free you’re asking me to pay again? Get over yourselves. Make the in-app unlock free for previous owners of MixBox. I already paid for this app.

    EDIT: I can’t use the app when not on Wi-Fi now either? Okay I got my purchase restored but, again, I spent $80 on this. Now I can’t use it at a gig because the place doesn’t have wifi? Seems like a stupid oversight for an app supposedly for musicians but hey, what do I know, I’m only a gigging musician.

  • IK fails customers

    MixBox is a pretty expensive app to start with. To have the latest update cause the deletion of vital user presets plus other difficulties for longtime users without clear info about a fix is very poor customer service. Not only were presets lost, projects frozen, etc., hours of time by the users affected are lost without an appropriate apology, or, more importantly, a fix. Shame on you, IK. You’re losing lots of fans. Check the Audiobus Forum for more details.

    MixBox was a wonderful and diverse tool. Too bad a careless release has caused so much pain for the iOS community.

  • Update destroyed my projects

    Can’t believe this. Bunch of projects gone with all the settings. Just don’t understand.
  • Musicians First??? Really? Full app not available when off-line!

    IK Multimedia’s slogan is “Musicians First” but unfortunately with this update this is not the case.

    I purchased the app before there was an in-app purchase, and was able to use it without any issues. Then the “CS” update came along and screwed it up. Now with the current 1.3.2 update, I got all my effects back, but now I lose all the effects when I’m on airplane mode or not on a Wi-Fi connection! Yes you read that right. When on airplane mode, or not connected to Wi-Fi, users CANNOT USE THE APP THEY PAID FOR! $80 for an app that has limited use. That is horrible, and doesn’t fit with their slogan of “Musicians First.”

    Why must I be on wi-fi? So if musicians have a performance and rely on this app its not usable, unless connected to wi-fi. What a horrible way to treat customers and over charge them for an app that has limited use.

    Please fix this ASAP.

  • 1.3 broke a year worth of projects

    Version 1.3 changed the internal plugin ID, which means my sessions saved with pre-1.3 versions don't load properly. Worse still, they haven’t acknowledged the issue. Beware.

    DO NOT BUY THIS APP! Versions 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 (at least) are broken. I paid a LOT of money (about $50 US) for this app but I can now only access the free modules. IK Multigreedia has broken it in an attempt to squeeze more money out of customers. Happy holidays to you, too, IK. I'll never buy an IK product again.

  • Update killed my purchase

    Edit: Raising to 3 stars because I still have to remove every old instance of mixbox in a session for it to work. All previous save states are unrecognized. The only workaround would be to remove mixbox and then reload. I’ve lost all mixes on a project because of this. Otherwise it’s great. Terrible that this mistake happened. There was no way I was going to save a user preset for every individual track I used this on in a session. Everything has to be remixed now.

  • Lost all previous effects

    Updated back to 5 start.

    Kudos to the quick fix. But the team should definitely tested this more thoroughly before such a major update.

    I purchased mixbox with all effects before they move to free app + IAP model. I updated the app and lost all the effects that I have previously paid for. Restore IAP did nor help with the problem. IK multimedia need to fix this asap!

    I pad for te full app and somehow have been downgraded o the free version
