- Fixed the photo viewer so you can pan and zoom the picture at the same time and also, for new photos (imported with this version of the app) you'll get a high-res version of the picture when opening through tapping on the widget - Added an option to Gallery Multi-Widgets so if you add one to a widgets stack with auto-rotate on, you can make the widget pop-up when the picture is changed.

First: You can now test the full version for free. Create one multi photo widget with a maximum of four photos and with all its features Lots of updates and features in this version: For the FULL version: - Last Selected Widget: Mosaic widgets can have a new widget associated that will show the photo that was last tapped on the mosaic widget. Useful for a kind of 'now playing' showcase - Maximum number of photos shown in a mosaic: Normally a mosaic widget will adapt the number of photos shown to its size, for example a large widget will show at most 16 photos. If you want only 8 shown at a time (so they rotate in time) you can now set this limit - Name on mosaic widgets: You can optionally show the name of the multi photo widget on the mosaic. - Random order for galleries and mosaics: If your multi-photo widget uses a time duration for each photo (as opposed to a specific time for each photo), you can set the order to random. - New Time mode: Weekly time: Now you can set your multi-photo widgets to show each photo at a specific time of a specific day of the week: Make a daily inspirational picture widget, album of the day, or use it for daily remainders at specific times... For both the FREE and FULL version: - Full Screen View: A photo with no links will now open in a special full screen view when tapped on a widget. You can pinch for zoom and drag to pan the picture - Background color for name labels: You can now set a background color (with transparency) on the text labels for any widget - Duplicate widgets to make variations Bug fixes and optimizations: - Fixed the look of the mosiac widget with margins. - Fixed a memory issue where widgets would sometimes be displayed blank because of a problem with how WidgetKit handles images. - Storing optimized images for each widget size: Now the app saves scaled versions of the photos for future use as a work around for a bug within WidgetKit that causes a memory issue when loading images from ram.

Big new feature for both the free and the full version: - Set the center of the image: Manually set a point on each photo so that no matter what the aspect ratio of the widget is, it will always show the correct part of the picture. Great for pictures where the main subject is not on the center of the image Also some bug fixes and small updates to the interface to make it clearer and better for smaller screens

Description of Home Photo Widget

NOTE: If you find a bug, please click on the support link and send me a message with the details. This is a one man operation and I can't test on many devices... Add the photos you want to your home screen as widgets: 1. Import the picture or pictures you want to show on the home screen as a widget to the app. You can add it/them to a folder (new or existing) 2. Create a widget, edit it and choose the photo you imported. 3. Select the photo in the app to edit its name and to choose wether you want the widget to show it or not (and its color). If the picture is wide or tall, be sure to set its center to make sure the important part is displayed on any sized widget. You can import multiple phots and have multiple widgets with different pictures in all three sizes! Unlock the app to also creat multi photo widgets that display each picture for your chosen amount of time or at specific times in the order you want. Also make mosaics from your pictures: 1. Choose the multi-widget tab 2. Press the + button to add a multi photo widget 3. Choose some pictures from the ones you already imported into the app 4. select the multi photo widget in the app to change its name, edit its order and select the amount of time for each photo 5. Create the widget as before and select if by its name when editing it. 6. Choose the type: Mosaic and Free Mosaic show multiple pictures in the widget. Be sure to edit the composition if you choose Free Mosaic to place the pictures, scale and rotate them to your liking. You can also add a custom link to your photos so once pressed it will be opened. I've included an easy way to link to your own shortcuts by name.

Reviews of Home Photo Widget

  • The app itself

The app was okay at first I got the iOS update. But when the app got updated recently my pictures were gone and I couldn’t get them on my Home Screen. Yet I only got some of them but not the ones that I wanted back on the Home Screen. So I try restarting my phone but it still didn’t have the original pictures on my Home Screen.

    Developer Response

Hello. It should be fixed in the latest update. If not send me a message on the support link and I’ll do my best to help.
  • Use to love this app

This was the first app I found when ios 14 came out and it was honestly the best. I have since told many about it and told them to download it. But recently my pictures all went grey with a message saying “Edit widget to choose a photo” but every time I choose the photo it does not work. Only 2 of my photos show and all of the rest give me that issue. I hope it gets fixed because I do not want to have to go find another widget app.

    Developer Response

This has been fixed in the latest update.
  • Used to work...

I downloaded it a while back when iOS 14 came out and it worked great. I then updated it and was able to add names to photos ect.
Recently the app wasn’t opening AT ALL so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it hoping it would fix itself and now I cannot even upload a single photo.
I really liked this app hopefully it can be fixed.
Update: so it only lets me use certain photos others I have to crop them in order to use them😩 if we can get that fixed That would be awesome.

    Developer Response

    I’m working on an update.
