With this update any widgets made with the Widget Builder can now be shared freely. Open the settings in the Widget Builder and select the „Share This Widget“ option to send it to whomever you like. This will generate a file that can be opened by anyone with the app installed. To add a shared widget to your own library, simply open it with WidgetWorker and you will be prompted to add it. This update is all about weather. You can now create weather widget exactly to you liking. Combine weather maps, symbols and text of the current weather and/or prediction of the next few days. Of course can can show the weather of multiple places at once or make a widget for each. Features: - Weather maps: Add weather maps for temperature, precipitation, clouds, pressure and wind. - Weather text: Show description, temperature, humidity, UV index, sunrise time, sunset time, pressure, rain, snow, etc. - Weather symbols: Show weather icons. Other improvements: - iPhone devices will now show a Tab Bar instead of a Sidebar for navigation. This should be a nice quality of life improvement for all users. - Text components in the Widget Builder can now be aligned left, center or right. - And of course multiple minor fixes and improvements under the hood. Note: For consuming weather data you need to subscribe to WidgetWorker Pro within the app. You can do this in the Settings view or on the prompt when adding weather components in the Widget Builder. This is necessary because getting weather data actually costs money. Besides it helps me continue developing this app. Thank you in advance!

New Widget Builder components: - RSS feeds: When providing a link it will display the feed in the widget. Of course you can customize it by selecting fonts and colors. In the settings of the widget you can set a reload interval so it refreshes periodically. That way you can for example create a widget of your favorite news outlet and stay up to date with current developments. Selecting a link in the feed opens your web browser redirects you to the related article. - Website: Show any website inside your widget, position it size it as you like and select a refresh interval just like for the RSS feed component. Of course all theses components can be combined in one widget. For example you can have an rss fedd on the left half of the widget and a website on the right half. Other new features: - When selecting a component in the Widget Builder you now get an additional control panel that helps you quickly copy or delete the component - Optimized the Widget Builder for landscape mode Improvements: - The website widget should now be more reliable and render more content - Grid position inside the widget is now centered Fixes: - Fixed a minor spelling mistake - Fixed a crash when selecting to show the grid for medium sized widgets

Reviews of WidgetWorker

  • Doesn't work, as far as I can tell

There are NO instructions, no help, and no FAQ, so it's hard to know if I'm missing something. Either way, it's unusable.

After much trial and error, I "created" a widget - but it didn't take me to the link I used, it just opened the WidgetWorker app. This was true even using one of the supplied templates.

Not at all intuitive, despite what the developer may think, and apparently useless
  • Great widget

I was lucky enough to find this! I tried a couple of widgets and new right away I had to subscribe because I’ll be using this a lot. It’s awesome.

    Developer Response

It’s great to hear you like it. Thanks a lot.
