Love Paku! Why 1 star?

Update: I haven’t deleted and reinstalled the app yet, but after a few restarts, it seems to be working again. If it happens again, will try to reinstall the app.

Back to 5 stars!

I love this app, but… now none of the widgets work on my iPhone 16 Pro Max! I use them mainly on my lock screen. They use to work, but not anymore. Perhaps a problem with iOS 18.1? I wanted to contact the dev directly, but wasn’t going to join Mastodon solely for that purpose! So I am unable to contact them about this problem.
I just signed up for Paku pro to see if any of the other pro widgets would work. Nope!! I’ll be canceling my subscription unless I get word that the dev got my message and will try to fix this issue.
Thanks 🙏

Hey there! This seems to happen to all apps sometimes, and could definitely be from updating iOS. Could you try rebooting to your phone to see if that fixes things? Otherwise, deleting and reinstalling Paku should do the trick - most of your settings will be saved!

Usually, it’s great

I love purple air, especially doing wildfire season. And I look looking at the air and the rest of the world also.

But it doesn’t seem to be working right today. I am 23 miles away from the forest fire and it has been quite smoky here. But the dot near my tiny town shows green and that it is at 20. But reading the text it says air quality is 158. That is a big difference. I live in Northern California and I looked up to Oregon where I know there are a lot of fires, and showing green today also. So please fix this. Oherwise I would give it five stars.

That’s a really strange issue - I wonder if the map averaging period was set to a long duration and caused this? If you see it again it’d be really helpful if you could send a screenshot!

Needs other metrics like canadian aqhi

I love the lines cuz'

The lines in Lock Screen
That looks like music lines
I love Paku*!!!

Awesome for air quality monitoring

I downloaded this app a few days ago because of the wildfires in Eastern Oregon/Western Idaho and I'm amazed at how accurate and precise it is with these sensors. The DEQ only has one or two sensors in my area but using Paku, I'm able to get a much more accurate idea of how the air quality REALLY is. The ONLY thing that I would like to see with this are different map layers and the wind directions on the map view. If youre concerned about air quality, especially during wild fire season, this is the app to get!

Love this app!

I used this app a while back, and I am so pleased to see how far it’s come. It works very well and is very pleasing to use (visually and functionally) vs. Purple Air. It’s much easier to customize and decipher based on your needs. You can also have it less cluttered when you zoom in and out, which is great. I use this app a lot lately due to the forest fire smoke around me, it’s a life saver! I appreciate the wonderful support team and their help, so grateful to have this app available to use. Thank you!

Love it!

Such a well designed, helpful app.

A possible improvement….

Would be nice to see the Canadian AQI numbers as an option… or atleast tell in the description that it’s on US.

This feature will be available in 5.7.0, which should be out shortly!

Not helpful

Might be a good app but there are no accurate monitors in my area, so no information. If there were I’d give it at least four stars.

My entire state shows green on this app while we’re under a government issued unhealthy air alert. We’ve been wavering between the orange and red zones according to other apps. I’d like to find one that consistently gives reliable numbers.

We have unhealthy particulates. I can see the smokey skies out my windows. This app shows a zero on the nearest monitor (~40 miles away) and green across the state.

Very inaccurate by over 100 points!

I wanted something with a widget to be an easy glance at the AQI. I’ve had it less than 24 hours and I’ve been double checking it against other measures. It said “Moderate” when the air was actually at a “Very Unhealthy” level, and right now is says “29 - Good” while everything else is saying between 154 and 163 (Unhealthy).

I wondered if it was pulling information from meters that are far away, but no - there are multiple within a mile radius. Is it tracking air from inside of buildings?

Overall, great design but horribly inaccurate data. The air is literally smoky so no, Paku - it is *not* a “great day to be active outside!”

Hey, really sorry to hear this! If you open the app from the widget when it’s reporting low values, does it match the sensor in the app? There might be a sensor near you that’s inaccurate - either positioned poorly or something else. You can hide that sensor from widgets by opening the menu in the detail sheet. This is just an unfortunate reality of crowdsourced data - sometimes it’s inaccurate. I’m working on a feature to improve this.
