Had to pay a one off charge, but states this is the only charge (£30!!) and now it wants me to pay a monthly subscription to use anything. Terrible and app and horrible profiteering

I am a Warmshowers host and guest. It is so frustrating that I have to purchase a subscription just to see my messages. I have already payed a relatively large one time fee for their website. Stop trying to squeeze money out of your users and go back to what it was made for. Free reciprocal housing for cyclists

Beware: read before purchasing
The map of availability they show you changes drastically once you purchase.
I tried to use this for Baton Rouge.
They show multiple people and locations (about 8)… once I signed up the actual map only showed one- which was inactive.
It’s essentially useless.

Horrible. Please fix
For such a great platform it’s the worst app I’ve ever paid for. I cant do anything from the phone which beats the purpose as I’m trying to use it when bikepacking, without laptop. I get issue telling me to complete sign up despite it is all filled in. It doesn’t let me log out to restart. It crashes when I try to log out.
Please fix it. It is a lot to pay for service that doesn’t run properly.

Nightmare app, way too buggy!
$30 “joining fee” fee plus an app fee for non functioning app? $47 for what?
My profile was removed when they became a business and abandoned the community and spirit of the original creator.
When I did three US long tours I was only able to arrange for one host site. 3,500 miles and one host.
Now to pay for something and not have any idea if there are any hosts in the area you’re touring? Or if any will be available?
I know it’s worked for people I’ve met, back when it was a community and not a business, but if you’re cycling a popular route it’s nearly impossible to find a place to stay.

App crashes instantly

Used it for 25 days and after it ask me to pay again! I login and it ask me to pay again for the annual fees...there is a bug..as always but now it's becoming frustrating! We pay for you annual fee...make it work please.

Got scammed
Bought it last year for a trip I couldn’t do because I got injured and never used. I payed for a lifetime membership and now that I’m trying to make the trip again it’s telling me I need to pay per month.. I knew it seemed to good to be truth. Dont buy it’s not worth it.
