Infusing my “average” Wednesday with joy & fun 🥰
Groove has changed my life so much in the last month! It’s the time-tracking tool that I needed and didn’t fully realize I was missing. I just knew something was missing as I kept hitting the same wall.
But it’s more than just the enhanced focus during my “average” day, it’s the minute moments of seemingly passing connection that previously I struggled seeing true value in (I love going deep with people). My time with Groove has shown me the immense beauty of being “in it” with other humans on the creative journey, even if I may not know most, if any of their story.

Changing my life 50 min at a time
Groove has been one of the best things to happen to me, both in my personal and my professional journey. I joined at a time when my life fell like it was falling apart. My dreams couldn’t have felt further away and my heart couldn’t have felt more alone.
When I found groove all of that began to change. I found a space to build and work alongside people that felt like “my people”. People who had multiple projects, ideas, fears, plenty of doubt, excitement, joy, tenacity, grit and faith, that what they were building was worth it. Those people cheered me on, as I encouraged them. They have become my chosen co-workers and some of them my most trusted friends. I have community and clarity.
I love the Groove team, because of their hands on approach to ensuring that the app is more than just an app or a tool for them to make money. They care about their people, not because we’re the users, but because they want us to get the most out of our experience, they want us to succeed. They believe in their product, but more importantly they believe in us, their people. They are open to suggestions and work diligently to seek out what’s not working to make what is working, even better.
In the last year I’ve grooved over 1100 minutes. I’ve met over 100 groovers that have helped me win contracts, projects, and building my business, I’ve made over 7 great trusted friends, and I’ve built two businesses, an independent publishing company that published its first release in March 2024, and strengthened my strategic consulting company narrowing our focus to organizational and leadership development.
Groove helped me get there. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

I love this app!
Thanks to Groove, I’ve connected with so many great people from around the globe. I have even had the pleasure to meet some beyond the screen. When a fellow Groover is in town, I make sure to make the time to meet up IRL. I’m so grateful for the power of connection this app brings. Plus it provides tangible accountability - so helpful when I work from home (no more procrastination at my house!!)

Making work lighter and brighter
As a community builder who often juggles too much, I’ve tried everything to channel my productivity. But the missing piece for me has always been the community element. Which is why I love Groove! 50-minute blocks of focused work time sandwiched with focused, supportive convos with 2-3 other Groovers. We share to-do lists, get to work, then circle back to share how things went.
Groovers are amazing! Day brighteners. Smart workers. Generous folks.

The quickest, most intentional and fun way to boost your productivity while WFH
After my first 10 Grooves on the Groove app, I’ve got some reflections! Here are my five takeaways so far:
1. Accountability is as simple as stating your tasks out loud—surprisingly motivating!
2. It’s easy to support others, even if you don’t fully understand their work.
3. The Groove team nails the new user experience—big shoutout to Tova Safra and Taylor Harrington for their encouragement!
4. Meal planning is a common task—who knew? It’s nice to know I’m not alone.
5. Groove attracts the kindest people, and it’s all thanks to their heart-centered approach to building this community. Spoiler alert: it’s working!

Great for focus, accountability, and getting out of your comfort zone!
I joined Groove because I was looking for a coworking app that would keep me motivated and on top of my tasks. I had tried one other similar service that I really liked and personally I loved that I didn’t have to get on video and interact with people (LOL?). After my trial was over, I decided to try Groove because a friend is on the platform.
At first, I was a little afraid of the whole video chat thing. Every Groove is 5 minutes or so on video, 50 minutes off video working on your tasks, and 5 minutes back on video to share how it went. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel having to get on video with strangers and actually speak. Well, the first few times were a tad hard for me but it got me out of my comfort zone! I continuing Grooving for a whole week, always thinking, “which platform will I go with?” because my intention was to choose Groove or the other platform as my permanent “coworking home”. I’ve made the decision to stick with Groove and here’s why:
1. After getting on video a few times, it’s not so scary anymore! I feel like it keeps me more accountable and motivated when I actually have to speak and share.
2. I really wanted an app for coworking, with a to-do list built in that I could easily add to if I thought of something I needed to do at a random moment in my day. Well, Groove gives me just that! The other platform I tried was not mobile-friendly (and neither were a few other coworking sites out there) and adding to my to-do list is so easy.
3. THE COMMUNITY. This is the biggest thing for me. While I tried out Groove, I still kept thinking about the things I had liked about the other platform and I thought my decision would be hard (to choose between the two). But the more I Grooved, the easier it became to choose Groove. Every time I did a Groove session, you could tell these people know and care about each other. They ask about upcoming trips, pets, how the task they were working on the other day is going. As you Groove day after day, you start to see many familiar faces. That sealed it for me.

Groove Gets Me GOING!
The #1 predictor that I will have productive hour is whether or not I start a Groove session and have the support of some coworking buddies. Groove is essential for solopreneurs who need some structure! Love it!! 💕
A great safety net
Groove is a great safety net if you find yourself stuck in a rut. I'll jump on Grooves when I notice that I'm aimlessly scrolling around, in part because talking to other people helps me to refocus. If I'm feeling lonely, jumping on a Groove gives me a bit of human connection that sparks me into action.I recommend this app to solopreneurs, solo workers, small business owners, and side-hustlers all the time and it never misses.

Secretly the best community out there
I've been a fan of coworking since I learned it about it 2010. I've worked out of hundreds of spaces around the world. But with many of them, one major thing was usually missing: Community. I've really gotten into Groove because it has genuinely awesome, supportive and creative community, is completely on demand (I can join or start Grooves at any time), and is mostly camera off. Groove makes getting things done a whole lot easier because the community is SO encouraging.
